Good episode last night although I'm not enjoying Ruby being an employer from hell. If she evacuated the flat , how come she didn't notice her dress in the sink that Lola left ? Or seem too bothered about the flood? Will jack have to clear that up?

Ruby's recent behaviour reminds me of ' the devil wears Prada ' film.

Ruby's acting style really annoys me. Can't put my finger on it but seems OTT most of the time.

Just got your 10 year old child back from a (sort of) kidnapping. Tell them to go and find their Aunty Raine at the car lot ON THEIR OWN and go off for a fight in a cemetery. Yeah. Not even knowing if Raine is actually there or not.

Ive not seen last nights but on Friday Ruby was being a complete cowbag to lola frigging ice in her coffee and Adam the dentist I was shouting run fast Honey he is bad news !

Not really understanding ruby’s Nasty behaviour.

1. she has already been accused of sexual assault against a former assistant (has that case been dropped?) so you would think the fear of being accused of bad boss behaviour again or Lola using her behaviour as back up proof for the accuser that she was a bullying cow would have her toning it down.

2. jay rejected lola. He chose ruby. Ruby “won”. Why would she need to be so nasty and make lola feel so tiny unless she was just a thoroughly unpleasant person?

3. ruby was treated appallingly by two people very recently for no reason other than that they felt they could. Surely she has been affected enough by that to see that she shouldn’t do what she is doing to lola? (FWIW I am in no way comparing rape to what ruby is doing! Just the sense of entitlement of treating someone badly for no reason)

ILoveMaxiBondi re: 1) that story line about ruby being accused of sexually assaulting one of her employees was just glossed over far too quickly. It seemed pretty clear she did assault him and also used her seniority to make him feel obliged to put up and shut up. Then when she was confronted with this she basically just said ‘OMG I had no idea that’s how you felt, I’m really sorry’. End of story. Hopefully they’ll return to it. Lots of mileage there about how ruby treats other people and doesn’t recognise it as appalling behaviour

I hope she ( Ruby) doesn't start on Jay. Us mumsnetters will go and ' sort her out'

But yes KAREN literally gave birth and few weeks later stabbed another man (Bernie’s dad not sure If have a name) and got preg hence both in same school year - youngest and oldest

have we seen the boys, or Bernie's dad at all? cant recall if we have or not.
maybe Keegan , the younger one to Bernie, was premature? that might explain the gap not being that big? Someone i knew , her mum had this happen to her , two of her children were same school year as one of the babies was born at 30 weeks or something. either that or the writers just wanted a ' big' family in the show without really thinking it through, which is probably more like it ( so the ages and year groups are kept a bit ' vague') Ken is only 19 when he looks his real age of 25, so its all a bit silly anyway! The boys are twins i think?

Thanks gato, I wasn’t sure if i had missed the resolution of that storyline or not. The last we saw of it was the victim in the tube station and ruby basically saying “oops, didn’t realise” it was very odd. I’m still not sure of the point of the storyline. Was it to cast doubt on ruby’s Credibility?

There were two sisters aged 10 months apart in the same year when I was at school!

My dad is also 10 months older than his brother and then another sister is 12 months younger again!

I work with parents and their babies and toddlers it isn't unusual for us have 3 under 4/5s and couple of the siblings have started school together. I am just catching up and I forgot how handsome Sean is
