Interested to see where they are going with Halfway. There was some unresolved story around the incident in the army - he was supposed to have been a hero but there were hints that this wasn’t quite the full story. He’d been a virgin when he met Whitney and then from time to time there have been hints that they had not DTD for a while. So maybe they always had it in mind that he might be gay?

I thought they were going down the line of a self harm /PTSD story with halfway so quite surprised by that twist

But what else can they do/say? Denny sits and sniggers and Sharon has tried reasoning with him/lovebombing him/threatening with a new school. I'm trying to imagine what I'd do myself in that situation and have drawn a blank. What are parents supposed to do when everything else has failed?

Why oh why was Jack phoning Bex? I know she is his grandniece? but have they ever shown them to have any sort of relationship that would suggest Bex would turn to him or has he got carried away by his successful bonding with Tiff?

The Halfway twist was great. I remember when he couldn't 'perform' with Whitney and then used his injury as an excuse not to - they might have had it in mind all along? Ben groaning was ridiculous. He talked about prison as if he had just come out. Has he forgotten he had a proper love affair with Paul. They have changed his character beyond recognition. It would nearly have been better to bring in a new character, a sudden long forgotten nephew, Grant's son or something.

Martin is painful isn't he but I suppose they are building a story where Kush goes for custody and it becomes a battle. If he says Stacey has mental health issues is it likely they will give him full custody. The only thing is then they will have to write Kush out and he will take Arthur off to Dubai because a single dad doesn't ever have much of a storyline in EE unless other family members live with him and Kush doesn't have other family members around. Stacey will then have a breakdown and end up back in hospital and be written out for her maternity leave that way?

In wonder of when they nn him halfway they always knew they'd do a closet gay story or if they decide later on and use already advertised information to make a link?

I never saw it coming but I like the storyline idea.

Prince Albert I love Tina and hope she gets more screen time now she's manager.

I love the idea of Tina being the gay bar manager as well, though she has never managed to stick at anything before very well so I hope it goes okay. Kath seems to have no knowledge of anything gay-related at all, so it will be fun I think a she is a total innocent, as most of the EE viewers are, I imagine.

As to how Shazza and Phil should have handled Denny, I think Phil should have asked him about what he did, discussed the effects of the bullying on others and then showed how disappointed he was in Denny, but encouraged him to then put things right or get back on track in some way. Denny clearly has a lot of admiration for Phil and looks up to him, so Phil should use that instead of just being brutal with him. Then again, that would be the most boring storyline in the world! Better still, Shazza could have also sat down with Denny and showed how she felt. Again, too boring!

I thought Phil handled Denny quite well; he's far more likely to listen to Phil, than the softly softly approach favoured by his mother.

I thought Phil did ok so well, given the police could prove he uploaded video it could be classed as a hate crime. Especially given even if he wanted to get back to family twins weren’t kids who did wrong.
He is funny kid he dosnt seem to have any close friendship just a gang when making trouble.

Tina will be great at bar, her and cafe have worked together for years in cafe so she knows she works hard, plus she works in pub.

Why would it be so difficult for Stacey to understand that Kush wants joint custody of his son? It's not exactly an out of the ordinary request.
