I take the point about us ' objectifying' Ken and others sometimes , but in real life I wouldn't look twice or think ' aww, his like my sons'! ( same age in real life)
I know some women might take it further if a good looking young man was remotely interested but
I would run a mile personally. (Not that it would ever happen!)
I've gone off him
Now his just sleeping around. He needs a bit of self respect!

Anyway, someone upthread called Sharon a 'trollop' but didn't see anyone dissecting the semantics of that post. There isn't a similar name for men who are 'loose with their favours'. Usually they are judged to be a bit of a lad, lucky dog, ladies'man, Romeo, sowing his wild oats etc.

She isn't a 'trollop' but in real life people would judge them both as there is such a huge age gap I suppose. Plus she would be the one getting all the grief , not him! Women always come off worse , whatever the situation.
They are both as bad as each other really! Nothing good will come of it.

Its the cheating that’s the problem. If she was single then she can sleep with whoever she wants in a day. She’s a cheat. thats the issue. Sleeping with two people on the same day doesn’t make anyone a “trollop”.

I called her a trollop & thinking about it today I should have called her something worse.
Keanu was drunk as a skunk in last nights episode & Sharon was completely sober, if the tables had been turned and we were watching a sober 50 year old man with a very very drunk 19 year old girl we would have been debating whether he was a rapist & if the 19 year old was in a fit state to give consent.

Imagine this on AIBU: Expect I will be flamed for this but I am in love with a man half my age and we have passionate sex whenever we can. I am married for second/third time (previous was to DH's brother) and am stepmum to current DH's daughter (17).
She is now expecting my boyfriend's baby and I have taken her to abortion clinic for termination. She thinks my BF is her BF and doesn't know about us. Neither does my DH. But I love him (BF). AIBU to continue with affair?

Yes, like I said, her moral compass is fucked. Cheating on her husband with a teenager, gladly allowing said teenager to be sent off to dodgy jobs in Spain just to get rid of him when she was done with him, allowing her step daughter to date him knowing what she had been up to with him.

Supporting Louise with an abortion though? I’m not sure I can hold that against her. Louise wanted it because she overheard what Phil and Keanu had done, Sharon supporting her do to it is what you do expect of a stepmum in the absence of a mum.

I never have and never would use that word about any woman. So IMO nothing qualifies anyone as a trollop or slapper (your word of choice) they’re both horrible misogynistic words only used about women to shame women’s sexuality. You said yourself there is no equivalent for men. Ask yourself why that is. And yes I’m taking your misogynistic language seriously. It might be a silly thread, but your language and the perpetuation of misogyny isn’t.

Dogs, if what you wrote was an AIBU on mumsnet most people would say it's a troll and completely made up! Lol I can't believe anyone's lives are as messed up as a soap character is on EE.

As for the sleeping with two men on same day, Sharon didn't have a lot of choice as Phil rocked up after being away for months and Ken was hiding from him and she had to do something to stop him being killed!
Not condoning her actions but she was doing her best to avert a killing there. Lol.
Both their moral compasses is skewed and I would judge anyone in real life with such a huge age gap; older man would be even more of a worry too (although I'm sure it's happened in real life. )
Anyway, it is just a silly soap and not true and the writers are only doing this to get the viewers of course! I'm sure someone like ken wouldn't even go near an older woman like her! Let's hope it's all resolved soon as the whole thing is so stupid! ( esp keeping a pregnancy secret : what is she thinking ?)

Trollop is an outdated phrase, it’s not as visceral as “slapper” which literally means “so loose from lots of sex that her labia slap together when she walks”.

I was a trollop in my younger days Blush but I did shower.
