I'm loving this show.
The poet with his dramatic "Damn your eyes!" cracks me up for some reason.

Omg the bit with Pats grandson 😢 just broke my heart!

There are lots of funny little bits, Kim Wilde being one.

The scouts flashback had me laughing in horror as the perp passed the bow on to a tiny scout..and poor Pat not wanting the kids traumatised.

HA yes that poor tiny scout

I like the way the ghosts seem like stereotypes but then get subverted.

The Neanderthal who plays chess and comes out with profound thoughts.
The slightly creepy Scout master who isn't after all, and tried to avoid the little scouts seeing him die. Aww, Baby Pat!

Can't say I've warmed to the main characters boyfriend though. Not sure if I'm missing something but he just seems like a bit of a prat🤷🏻‍♀️.

Cushioncovers Yes! Making random holes in the wall, he irritated me.

It's awesome isn't it? Baby Pat had me bawling

Nurse wotsit from Call the Midwife is fabulous

Love the no trousered MP and his efforts to move stuff

I haven’t really warmed towards the boyfriend either he is a buffoon but not a loveable one just annoying! They also don’t suit each other they’re not a believable couple at all.

I think the boyfriend will end up dying so they will all live together and he will become a ghost.

Pat's grandson had me sobbing but loved how it then had his "moving on" moment to balance. Agree the bf isn't a great character. I'm really enjoying it though.

I don’t watch live tv but I don’t understand its time slot. I thought it would be better in a Doctor Who family viewing type spot.

Pat's story had it all.

I had put off watching this because I was worried that I'd be disappointed. Just binge watched the first 3 episodes with dd (16) and we both loved it. Very funny, silly but not annoyingly so and surprisingly poignant at times.

I've never heard of horrible histories, but if it's anything like this I really missed out! I love this! I also agree the time slot is confusing.

Anyone else think that Kitty is a bit creepy?

I was a little disappointed with this episode. Some good bits (like the rice crispies) but not great.

I liked the poet floating in the lake at the end. It was a beautiful shot.

I loved the bit about the chairs not being the correct era and the make up woman asking if the hairdresser had left the tongs switched on.

Kitty is very creep she is a bit of a letch i loved Mary in last nights especially with the metal cow! I love how dramatic the poet is his drowning in the lake was never going to go his way
