Me too. I think it's lovely how these characters have so much charm that we want to know all about them. I don't remember being this into Friends til about the third series! 😂

My current pondering is about what Alison has told Mike about the ghosts. Has she described them to him? Mike is totally excluded from what's going on.

Yeah, I'd feel very left out if I was Mike. Not to mention a bit disturbed by her talking to people that I can't see!

I'm not surprised one of the pilots was called Helmut. The Germans in Horrible Histories were always called Helmut.

It's clearly their favourite German name.

Helmut doesn't really strike me as name a WW2 pilot would have had. It feels slightly later. Every Helmut I know would have been too young to be a pilot in WW2.

Isn't that because a lot of the Helmuts around at the time of WWII are now dead so not around for you to know?

Helmut isn't really a modern German name. There's records of it in the 19th century.

Every Helmut I have ever known is about my father's age or slightly younger and he was born 1931 and I knew everybody in my village (about 2000 when I grew up, twice that now). I just checked and Helmut Kohl was born 1930. I think Helmut became popular during WW2. Wolfgang feels even later. They are about the age of my brother who was born 1957.
I often hear/read German names in books/TV/movies and they feel out of time.

I'm sure there earlier records and that there were Helmuts during WW2 but if I'd write a story about WW2 I wouldn't call grown ups that name.

Well a quick Google shows quite a few 19th century famous Helmuts and apparently it was first heard of in the Middle Ages, and Mozart was a Wolfgang so I think it's fair enough to use them as incidental character names in a comedy show.

I'm not complaining about it, I don't mind really. They are not names I associate with someone fighting in WW2, is all I'm saying.

So pleased I love Jim Howick in this as Pat as it's helping erase my memory of him in Broadchurch. That seriously freaked me out and stopped me enjoying his HH characters 😬

Who winds the clock? Surely whoever does it would set the time right?

Gosh yes Jim in Broadchurch was horrible. Ben in The Thick of It was not nice either (but in a less horrific way).

Does anyone know where I can watch the wrong mans without having to buy it?

Metro online is saying second season confirmed. It's out on DVD as of today and you can buy it to stream on Prime.

I pre ordered the DVD and it is arriving tomorrow. I'm hoping there are lots of extras answering lots of my questions.

Me and DH are binge watching while sobering up.
