Watched something else today with Ben Willibond in it. BBC comedy. He was divine.

If I were a ghostly extra I'd either want to be one of the cellar gang or a Queen - maybe one of Henry VIII's wives who visited Button Hall with him when he came to dinner.

It’s was a comedy. The life of someone ?Yates. I think. About a girl with SN. I didn’t find it funny. It was odd. Ben is the NDN. Best thing in it. I only watched one episode so it might b a grower.

We watched Bill this evening. Just because really. My dcs were a bit "aren't we watching a lot of things with the HH guys in?" but I reckon it's parenting at it's finest so they have little choice.

I do remember Mr Willbond in The Thick of It having a line about 'only being in politics for the pussy'. Can't think why that one stuck... and I shan't share that one with the dcs just yet

Dobbie yes it is funny and you get to see them all playing multiple characters. Took me a couple of episodes to get into it but it is worth it.

I love the whole HH crew and they would definitely be my fantasy dinner party guests, but I have a little bit of a crush on Jim.

When we first met Pat, I didn’t think I’d like him as much as his other characters (scoutmaster, that hair etc) but my heart has been melted!

Love this show. Love the easy humour. Mary's character is my favourite - her lines are brilliantly written and delivered. Do fans of this one also like the Detectorists by any chance? Another inoffensive, easy watch comedy with great characterisation. Ghosts slips into the hole finishing that left me with nicely. Not seen HH as DS is only 5, but might give it a go!

Right, that's tomorrow's telly sorted then I found myself watching the Worst Witch when DS had wandered off into the garden for a good 20 minutes earlier. Partial to an easy watch
