He said he anticipates lots of Willbond love!

I don't know. We have already established that Jim Howick 1) has a dog 2) had the lovely Labrador/Golden Retriever scene.

All very well being Phillip II, but honestly Ben Willbond has some ground to make up.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/05/2019 21:25

Going to watch Yonderland now. Apart from Doctors (which used to feature Martha as Donna, the best receptionist the Mill ever had!) I've watched nothing but stuff featuring this lot for days.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/05/2019 21:28

merry that's true. Pat is also lovely to Robin and that's hugely important.

Catchingbentcoppers · 15/05/2019 21:29

Well I love Willbond as much as the next man but there's a lot of Jim love on this thread too! Grin

Actually lots of love for all those lovely folk.

Confuzzlediddled · 15/05/2019 21:31

I absolutely love it, proper laugh out loud fun, though it has its moments too, Robin and moona, pats grandson.

I really hope this isn't a one of series like quacks and you, me and the apocalyse!!

rareappearance · 15/05/2019 21:35

I'm going to start watching again tonight. I love Robin

FoxSquadKitten · 15/05/2019 21:47

I didn't like Robin to start with but now I think he's my favourite, along with 'chinny reh-kon' Julian 😆

BelindasGleeTeam · 15/05/2019 21:50

The character development is half the joy. Robins wisdom, Julian's savvy. And I want a pocket Pat because he's just so lovely.

bellinisurge · 15/05/2019 21:59

I'd never watched Yonderland before or even heard of it. Thanks to this thread which has already put me onto Ghosts, I'm going to give that a go to.

I really need to watch witty, warm, clever people. So few on the telly in real life.

RoseGoldEagle · 15/05/2019 22:29

I love this. I wonder how Kitty died? I find her quite irritating, but suspect she may have a sad backstory that is going to make me like her after all. The characters are just fabulous.

Chopinaround · 15/05/2019 22:52

I’ve not heard of Yonderland, maybe because I’ve never had Sky. Does anyone know if you need sky to watch it now or is it available anywhere else? Thanks.

PJMasksAreOnTheirWay · 15/05/2019 23:10

Voted.

TyneTeas · 15/05/2019 23:46

I think a spin off of 'talk of the day' shorts would be excellent Grin

Catchingbentcoppers · 16/05/2019 08:30

My fifteen year old son watched Ghosts from the start last night on my recommendation. The scene in Ep 2/3 I think? When Alison opened the fridge door and Robin was in there had him absolutely peeing himself laughing. He has the most joyous, raucous laugh so DH, DD and I were all laughing at him laughing at Ghosts. Grin

Catchingbentcoppers · 16/05/2019 08:31

And this is a kid who only ever watches anything to do with motorbikes or cars so I had to bribe him to sit and watch with me. He loved it.

FoxSquadKitten · 16/05/2019 09:20

I wonder how Kitty died? I find her quite irritating

I love Kitty, she's so sweet 💕

GraceMarks · 16/05/2019 09:25

It bears up to repeat viewings. I missed some of the jokes first time around - I like Julian even more now I picked up on his use of the phrase "chinny reckon", which was the playground insult of choice when I were a lass Grin

I know a few people aren't keen on Mike, but I like him. He's got the least interesting role in a large cast, but he does it well and he's kind of loveable with his attempts to interact with the ghosts he can't see. I wonder if the last episode is going to involve either him or Alison joining the ranks of the dead somehow Sad

Slaymill · 16/05/2019 09:43

Voted for Ghosts though they deserve every accolade come award time.

So pleased we all agree on the Christmas special. I've been mentally plotting themes and scenes for the episode which shows you how over invested I am.

Now I'm going to enjoy a couple of tea and watch the BFI questions thanks @merrymouse

BillGiggeloe · 16/05/2019 10:01

Voted mostly for LOD and Ghosts.

Is it weird I don't know who any of the soap actors are apart from Danny Dyer?!

MoonahStone · 16/05/2019 10:21

Tom Kingley the director of Ghosts has a great twitter feed with lots of behind the scenes stuff twitter.com/kingsley_tom/media I only saw one small spoiler for Ep6 in here. I haven't stopped laughing about Matt Bayton and the bath scene, that man is speedy!

NeverPutAWetFootInABirkenstock · 16/05/2019 10:58

Loving this show too. Baby Pat made me well up a little. The only disappointment for me is Fanny, I want more shrieking and less gurning. Grin

Katie Wix and Lolly Adefope are ace.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 16/05/2019 11:00

Yes I follow him - the bath scene is incredibly quick for one take.

tkband3 · 16/05/2019 11:11

So, I had a lovely walk with Pat Jim this morning. I was a total fan-girl about the series and it was really lovely talking to him about it and how much fun they'd all had making it. He is such a nice man.

He's very hopeful that the BBC will commission a second series - hoping to find out soon! I mentioned the Mumsnet campaign but forgot to mention the Christmas special suggestion...next time!

He was really happy that everyone loves the series and all the characters - apparently the feedback across the board is overwhelmingly positive.

LIZS · 16/05/2019 11:23

So jealous!
