Too upsetting to watch. And it makes me rage knowing that so many women's live are blown apart every day in situations like that, and only the tiniest number of rapists ever pay for it with a criminal conviction.

Why the hell didn't one of the others stay with Victoria instead of leaving her there alone?

I know Jane, they are all terrible friends.

Oh Jesus poor Victoria, that scene was so awful I actually got very teary eyed at that, what a bastard.

I'm shocked that they showed that so early in the evening.

I had a physical reaction to that. I had to turn over. I don't think I can cope with watching another rape storyline where the woman doesn't get believed and all the rest. Too close to real life and I despair. It never gets any better and it depresses me

That was awful! So uncomfortable to watch but at the same time so important to get across. I hope she gets justice.

Not posted on here for aggeeesss....but yes that was horrible.
I think the storyline will develop that she’s pregnant as she’s always wanted a baby so will be torn as to whether to keep it!

Also agree with you all about how badly they’ve handled the Maya storyline. They should have dealt with it properly as it was grooming....and not mix it in with other storylines and make it about what Layla etc did to her! 🙄

I found it very difficult to watch too. Quite well done really, the predictableness of it made it feel worse in a way, I kept hoping it wouldn't be him.

How long has passed since it happened? It's meant to be a week isn't it? Unfortunately I think Vic is going to find it very difficult to get justice as they'll be little or no evidence, even if she's pregnant, and he'll argue it was consensual. Depressing.

Usually the soaps are good at justice with rape storylines aren’t they. I hope they will be anyway.

They are which is good as a viewer but depressing when you realise that real life is so different. Plus there was a rape storyline not so long ago in Emmerdale so maybe they're planning a more realistic outcome with this one

That was horrific.

I’ve met and fended off so many “Lee’s” in my time. It was scary watching that how spot on they got it with the lines he used. And how quickly they turn. I guess that shows just how many of us have experienced a Lee if the writers were able to write it so well.

I think it was Rhona last and that showed rape within a relationship.

That episode was so good. Great acting by everyone. I'm in bits now.

Victoria's story has been so well acted. Really good to see them covering the consent issue.

I’m finding it very hard to watch but Victoria’s story is well acted, better than other rape stories have been on emerdale. I hope she does go to the police and I hope it shows how women are treated going through the process of reporting a rape.

Fab acting, especially Isobel. Didn’t really rate her before, but she’s really nailing this.

What does everybody think will come next for Victoria?

I know people who have been in the same situation (been drunk and picked up a guy, then get raped) and it’s never got to court. I hope emerdale don’t make the process look easy because it’s far from it.

Victoria and Moira were both excellent tonight. I've often found Victoria annoying in the past but she's been devastatingly brilliant in this storyline. Made me cry tonight. Just goes to show how wasted the character has been over the years.

I sincerely hope the net closes in on Maya now. David needs to call the police and tell everyone what Maya has been up to.
