I agree Jane. I find this v unrealistic, and pretty old fashioned tbh. With the changes in law in America at the moment it would be good to see women make the choice to terminate, AND be comfortable with that choice instead of anguishing over it. I get annoyed that the soaps always want to make people feel guilty for even suggesting abortion, let alone going ahead with it. They're oh so modern with their transexual/gender storyline, but still really in the dark ages over terminations.

And I think Robert was being really sensible pointing out that she needs to think about whether she will find it hard to love a child that may grow up to look just like her attacker. I know I would be scared to death of not being able to love the child properly for no fault of its own. And what if the father wants custody rights? If he doesn't get charged, he'd have no problem getting legal rights to the child. I wish they'd just had her and Ellis get together. We've had so many sexual assault storylines in the village, it would have been better to see the two of them grow together with the responsibility etc.

Well it's no secret I don't like Robert, but he does have a point about how Victoria will feel when the baby is here, but he's such a nasty person and the way he said that to Aaron about getting a baby by any means was downright mean.

David was being so stupid yesterday. Yes Jacob is being an utter twat but he has been groomed and sexually abused by a professional manipulator! He’s processing so much shit and his head will be questioning everything. He feels loyalty to maya but will inwardly be questioning whether everyone is right about her. He’ll be feeling vulnerable and betrayed by David and Leyla but also by Maya if he suspects she was abusing him. He’s going through so much. Of course he’s being difficult!

If I was Victoria I would be worrying about:
-could I love child especially if he looked like attacker.

• Will rapist or rapist family turn up wanting involvement with child.
• How will explain to child who their father is (or why they don't have one), how they were conceived. Worry that it will be a massive headfucking burden on them.

David is the most consistent parent Jacob has had.
