Have I understood correctly - the final was the same format and it came down to a 10 minute challenge at the end??

The final face-off was 45 minutes full glamour look.

Judges made a big thing of magnifying glasses and "oooh! it's so hard to call", but there was no comparison between the two.

Nikki's model looked very pretty but could have been on her way to church

Ellis's looked FABULOUS!

And it was such a shame that the final wasn’t between Ellis, Tiffany and Belinda. They were robbed for sure.

I agree - the final wasn't the place to start and experiment. He threw his chance of even coming second away.

I’m fairly sure Nikki’s “amazing” face art was the same standard as Belinda was doing every week!

The female judge made me cringe with her forced catchphrases- Ding Dong! Urghhh

Oh and that hairy face with the sprouting nostrils that Nikki did? She should have gone for that alone!

If there is a second series they need to get rid of the awful female judge. That ding ding catchphrase was beyond annoying. She came across as a mum of teenagers who thought she was 'down with the kids' when in reality she was just plain irritating.

Nikki's face off look was her exactly taking Dingdong at her word. She said "full face, eyeliner, lashes, lipstick"

Ellis took "full face" and interpreted it his own way.

Leigh let himself down badly. What a waste of a spot in the final. Surely he must have had a glance at what the others were drawing in prep?!

Don't get me started on the handholding and step by step instructions the photo shoot crew had to give Nikki. Awful.

The advice Nikki was given in the photo shoot was the final confirmation she shouldn’t have been put through to the final. It was unfair that she got so much input in order to produce something photo worthy and the others didn’t. It was embarrassing. Val either needs to go or she stays but the ding donging and you’ve delivered shtick goes. Also embarrassing and cringy.

I saw on insta they are doing a second season. I hope some changes are made, it's a good show but needs tweaking.

Did anyone else think that Leigh deliberately threw it away. Maybe because the thought of winning and, what would be expected of him after, was too much. In the beginning he lacked confidence, so I don’t think he gave any thought to winning.

Doing a role that you don’t feel qualified for would be really stressful. If that was the case I admire him for it. He seemed such a good person and genuinely fond of the other two finalist. I get the impression that they will remain friends.

I too thought Leigh threw his chance away, gutted as I was routing for him as he hasn’t been ‘doing’ make up long and he seems to have been taking the advice of the judges.
It would be interesting to have a final episode seeing how they’re doing 6 months on and how their careers have progressed.

Very much missing Bake Off, Sewing Bee and Glow Up, I’ve nothing to watch whilst the little one naps!

Ooo no I haven’t seen those! Are they on the iplayer? I haven’t got sky/virgin tv and both my TVs the Itv hub has disappeared so I only have the iplayer.

I missed it and my tv has lost all the catch up channels apart from the iplayer. I love bake off and was looking forward to the professionals.

Anyone watcher 1st episode of the new season yet.

Yes I watched! Shame they didn’t make all the episodes available at once.
They don’t seem to have made changes to the show, it’s still the same jury and red chair system.

Ive seen the first one and was also hoping the silly red chair system was axed. The girls ombre lip was better, but they obvs had seen more potential in the boy so put him through.

I've started the second series, I agree, it's a shame all the episodes aren't available. I don't have the patience to wait!

I really like the premise but cannot stand either of the judges, or Stacey Dooley. Three incredibly irritating people in one place.

I love / hate this show and by halfway through episode 1 hoped perhaps Val had been told to drop her catchphrase but no! We had a Ding Dong and then a Double Ding Dong . I love seeing what they come up with, some of these people are hugely talented.

Agreed a large proportion of the people (mainly the judges and presenter) are a bit knobby.

But its good telly for some reason and they create some amazing stuff. I just loved the Hong Kong make up mask.
