New thread. No spoilers. If you want spoilers, there's a spoiler thread.

Therese and Paul are in love
Toadie is devastated
Mark needs to find Kate in witness protection in Summer Bay in a visit there with Elly where she reunites with the Stewarts
Finn needs to bog off and take Mea with him.
Have I got it all??

I agree with you all, about the Women's Day episode and about the waking of Finn being mis-timed.

BareBelliedSneetch · 09/03/2019 17:03

I think the waking of Finn was very precisely timed. To get the “why Sonya and not Finn” reaction. And to put the finn pressure on Susan (and Karl) when they are at their lowest.

MiddleClassProblem · 09/03/2019 17:41

I get that but I think that could have been a few days later, also Susan didn’t know he was awake at that point. He didn’t have the most dramatic awakening.

PocketFullOfCrap · 09/03/2019 18:31

I also cried at the lasagne bit, and piper when she did her video bit.

For a split second I thought I was going to like Elly when she said she's done chasing him, I thought great, finally an example of a strong woman that has enough self respect to not be walked all over..only for her then it spoil it and be a twat by kissing Chloe.

The women's episode was a bit of a let down though, opportunities were endless and that's what they went with? Meh.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/03/2019 19:05

Also, I was so confused about the stuff they were collecting
There seemed to be different bits at different peoples houses then when piper said OK them get packing so you can go shag Paul, there was like 6 of each of everything?

They needed to get everyone together in the pub or the coffee shop and do it together. They could have done the blog there one at a time. Mark could dump Elly and she'd do her strong woman won't be walked over routine. Bea would whine about Finn and Susan would do the speach about him having no power over them! Then they'd rally, do their videos, laugh, drink etc.

Then tomorrow Susan could run off to be with Finn and Chloe and Elly could sleep together and Therese could go and see Paul instead of pretending shed rather be with Pipes

Been thinking that, although it's unrealistic, and the worst thing you could do to a child who's just lost their mum, the show having Nell stay at the beach with Jade was a good thing. It would have been too difficult for Scarlet to be shown reacting to the news for the first 48 hours.

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 09/03/2019 21:00

Gday neighbourinos.

I used to post on the Neighbours threads under a different username, stepped away for a while but now I'm baaaack.

I've struggled with Sonya's storyline. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer late last year and I'm still receiving treatment. Luckily my prognosis is far more positive than hers.

I've found it very true to life, particularly Toadies reaction. DH was also very angry at the world when I was diagnosed and I accepted it far quicker than he did. DH hasn't been able to watch at all since the storyline started.

Eve and Ryan's acting has been stunning and I'm not ashamed to say that I sobbed all the way through Tuesdays episode!

Back to the lightheartedness, Elly could make anything about her (I'm sure the actor has had more work done, her face looks different) I adore Chloe and Mel was beautifully predatory.

I vote for throwing everyone down the well. Except for Hugo, Nell and Clive.

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre big love to you ❤️

And welcome back!

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 09/03/2019 22:17

Ah, thanks guys.

I'm getting back into 'normal' life again now which includes chatting about soap operas with strangers on t'internet.

I did enjoy the storyline about Sheila's self help book and the Prisoner book club.

MiddleClassProblem · 09/03/2019 22:24

I do like the lighter bits thrown in even if it is Sheila (the Lou replacement) being annoying. The random competitions etc feel quite homely and classic neighbours.

Samcro · 09/03/2019 22:26

i am so annoyed by the Finn shite. after the brilliant acting from T and S, going back to this is such a downer.

BareBelliedSneetch · 11/03/2019 13:56

Watching the memorial service. My brain goes “oh this is so sad. Oh poor Nell. Poor toady. So sad. Weep. Ooooooh Chloe has pockets! Poor nell...”

Starburst8 · 11/03/2019 14:28

@BareBelliedSneetch I too was like poor Nell etc but instead of Chloe having pockets I was like "oh ffs Bea" GrinHmm

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 11/03/2019 14:43

We weren’t going to get away without Bea singing, were we?

Starburst8 · 11/03/2019 14:57

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius We all hoped we would. I guess it wasn't too bad as it was just a couple of minutes.
I think they did well with the memorial, wish they just left Finn out of it though.
Oh and anyone wondering why Steph wasn't there it's apparently because the actress had a scheduling conflict Hmm

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 11/03/2019 15:08

Not seen today's episode yet, good to know i have Bea's singing to look forward to Hmm

I don't understand how she hasn't destroyed her singing voice with her terrible vocal fry yet.

CurbsideProphet · 11/03/2019 17:16

Bea's x factor audition style of singing is so forced. It's a shame.

Poor Toadie Sad

AGnu · 11/03/2019 17:38

Did anyone else notice that Nell wasn't there for the whole memorial? They'd obviously only had her sit there for a few shots & several times when they cut to shots from behind the people sitting down the seat next to Callum was empty.

I actually laughed when Susan announced Mea was going to sing. "While Bea's singing, feel free to..." leave? Ram the flowers into her mouth? I thought the look on Toadie's face as he sat by himself was representative of everyone's reaction to Bea singing!

Starburst8 · 11/03/2019 18:09

@AGnu I noticed that about the seat.

I nearly cried when she said "it was mummy's favourite" regarding her dress.

I'm really sorry but Bea's singing isn't remotely good. It sounds like she pushes her voice too much.

Starburst8 · 11/03/2019 18:14

Forgot to say, not only was Nell missing in parts so was Hugo.
I guess it's because of restrictions on children filming.

MorningsEleven · 11/03/2019 20:02

I guess it's because of restrictions on children filming

It's a child cruelty thing They can't be forced to listen to Bea singing, it contravenes their human rights.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/03/2019 21:15

😂

MiddleClassProblem · 11/03/2019 21:17

It was very touching seeing Nell.

I’m not sure why they made Chloe have hair like a Shih Tzu. I loved that everyone had flowers.

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 11/03/2019 22:10

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Angie Rebecchi should be appointed queen of Australia.
Bloody love Angie, shame there was no Big Kev.
