But Toadie walked around all vibe of shame for a while and they split up. I think what Elly did was a whole other level. Plus Toadie didn’t lie (couldn’t either way as Sonya saw) but Elly lied... and lied.. and lied... and she lied and before all of this to get him down the aisle.

Agreed and the scan thing just tipped it over the edge, especially cutting it up.

But I like Shane and I'm in his side. I just think he's saying look, she did something awful and now she's pregnant. You did something awful and OK less so but still, and you had a baby from it and look how we all adore him. So instead of trying to make her feel even worse, let's remember there's an innocent baby in all this and no one wants to face that alone and hated.

I like that Mad West player Andrea today. I feel like that’s the first time we’ve properly seen her rather than her playing someone else, manipulating or handbag her episode in the psych unit.

What are ages differences meant to be with Gary and Amy and Kyle? Can't get my head around it.

Amy is quite a bit older than Kyle? Or did she carve the wooden boy really young?

Amy was born in about 1985 as she appeared on screen aged 3 in 1988. She she’s 34-35

The actor who plays Kyle is 30, the character was introduced in 2008 as a school boy so assume 16-17 then so would be similar age to the actor maybe slightly younger.

The actor who plays Gary is 49 which sort of fits with having a 27-30 year old son.

Sheila must be 62/63 now. I remember her 60th a couple of years ago... Gary must be younger otherwise there’s a whole big thing none of them have mentioned!

I would reckon Kyle would be around 28 but not sure...

OK so SHEILA is 63. So if we say Gary is 45 at most. Amy is 35so 10 years younger. Kyle could be 27? So 8 years younger

I think there was something about Amy being slightly de-SORASED or something, didn’t she appear as a 6 year old in 1993 or something when she should have been 8 or 9? Anyway, she has referred to having Jimmy straight out of high school, so say 19, and he’s about 14 now, she’d be 33?

But the issue with Kyle being 27 and Gary 45 is that he’d have been 18 when he had him. That’s not been mentioned.

In 2014, as his back story they said Gary walked out on his family when Kyle was only eight years old, and he did not see or speak to his son for sixteen years - which would have made Kyle 23/24/25 then so 28/29/30 now as it’s 5 years later. This website here says he was born in 1990.

Shiela’s 60th was in sept 2016 so she’ll be 63 this year. She apparently met Frank when she was 16 so her being a very young mum is likely.

I know history and keeping thing straight isn’t the writer strong point but surely each character has a bio and timeline?

nameychange you’d think so but there have been quite w few characters that have aged more than they should grime child years to twenties on their next appearance.

That’s not been mentioned but why would they mention it specifically? 18 is young but not so much nearly 3p years ago, I get the impression where they all grew up was quite rough / less salubrious so young families wouldn't be such a big thing. It's not like he was 14.

So it can all work out just about if they all had their kids young.

True, they don’t have to mention it, it just something Amy and Gary have in common being young parents, so thought they might have brought it up.

So if Sheila is 63 and had Gary at 17 and Gary is now 46 and had Kyle at 18 then that works with Kyle being 28/29 based on him being born in 1990.

Amy was born in 1985 but they aged her and her birthday year changed to 1983. If they’d left it the same then Paul would have fathered 3 children in 1985!

The storyline I can’t believe at the moment is that Ellie thinks Mark should forgive her as do their characters. She cheated on him twice and tried to pass another mans baby off as his!

I imagine like in the UK it depends on where you live, cumtir norms vary enormously and you're more likely to have a child young if you have poor academic attainment, live in a derived area, generational unemployment, and came had a young Mum yourself.

It's the norm for Ramsey Street. Amber, Didge, Sky, Amy, Melissa....must be a few more I've missed. Oh, Leo and David's Mum. Even Paige was only early 20's . and Lauren I guess when she had Paige.

It's just fairly standard in soaps in general though isn't it, they have to do something with the older teens I guess.
