Just watched new episode on Iplayer. OMG.

She's fantasising about corrupting him because it's a distraction from her problems and the whole "forbidden fruit" thing is exciting

I'm not sure she sees her role as that active. I think she feels as though she's driven by the force of attraction, as if she has no control over it. I don't think she actively wants to corrupt him, but is used to hiding her inner self and issues behind sex, and is used to not saying no to men she feels an attraction to, which is reciprocated. If you say no, you might never have another opportunity of someone loving you (I may be projecting a bit here.)

There is the forbidden fruit aspect, but there is also the fact he holds a position of authority and lives by strict rules, so he represents that need to have someone tell her what to do.

This isn't a spoiler just a "what if" - if the series does end with her sort of stopping doing the asides and looks to the audience etc... and if she ends by switching "us" off because she's immersed and happy in her new life (presuming there's a happy ending and god knows that's not a given - like I said - this is pure supposition), I am hoping it leaves the door open in the future for her to switch "us" back on if another drama in her life surfaces and she needs her friends again (babies? )

I've just had the shittiest morning ever, my car broke down and the RAC at the last estimate were going to come over 4 hours later (got a local pick uptruck to come in 20mins when they told me that). So I'm WFH and then realise I can watch Fleabag at lunchtime. BEST DAY EVER!!!
