kazza Grin

Raahh · 27/03/2019 14:59

And yes, Djok needs to grow up.Grin.
Pity it didn't happen, and put him off, prior to Melbourne though!

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 17:26

Yes - he'll be back to his usual self soon enough, no doubt.

It seems a bit daft of him to blame the Kermode situation for back to back losses though Hmm I totally thought he'd come back and win Miami tbh. I think Isner is going to make the final again looking at the draw.

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 17:32

I saw Kyrgios flipping water bottles and trying to make them land next to each other (or something) at the change of ends. I agree with you Raahh - I'm sure there are plenty of players who'd love to be there if he isn't that bothered!

Also the way everyone (is commentators) has been going on about his underarm serves as though they're the best thing since sliced bread is getting on my wick. They're acting like he invented it or something! He has done it loads of times now, it's in the rules, perfectly legit etc. But when he does it, it's "genius" apparently! Hmm

kazzaD66 · 27/03/2019 17:35

Not channelling Judy Murray then private
Grin

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 17:37

Grin no definitely not!! She was very enthusiastic about him wasn't she?!

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 17:38

PS although I do love Judy. She was mentioned in the house of commons today Grin (Bercow, obv)

kazzaD66 · 27/03/2019 17:45

I normally love Judy but clearly Kyrgios has some sort of mystic hold over the Murrays (well, her and Andy at least). I'm still bitter about underarm serves since Chang used them against the lovely Stefan in the French Open final AngryGrin
Also, hate Bercow

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 17:53

Yes but Chang was very tired at that point I believe, he had no choice!! riiiight Hmm

Andy and Judy obviously see something we don't!!

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 18:09

Ugh just thinking how I hated that early 90s period of tennis when Boris, Stefan etc were on their way out, and Chang, Courier etc were winning slams - yawnsville.

kazzaD66 · 27/03/2019 18:20

private I believe the poor sausage had cramp so why the hell did he not do us all a favour and retire, thereby allowing Stefan to complete a career Grand Slam? As I say, not bitter at all, even after all these years. Grin
And don't get me started on Courier! Although I think I preferred him playing; at least you didn't have to listen to him going on the whole time about nothing in particular, as he does now he commentates. I'm more the old school Dan Maskell, less is more style of commentary Grin

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 18:33

the poor sausage Grin

Yes don't get me started on Courier's commentary. Or that weird stance he does for on court interviews.

Raahh · 27/03/2019 18:36

I've always been bitter about Chang beating Stefan. I cried after that match (17 and hormonal Grin).
I find the under arm serving bit rude, so totally typical of Kyrgios and his cba attitude.

kazzaD66 · 27/03/2019 18:39

Snap Raahh I'm now 53 and still hormonal ConfusedGrinGin

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 18:48

Grin I freely admit I have cried at a tennis match in the past year

Raahh · 27/03/2019 18:57

Grin at both of you!

I know I will get very emotional if Rafa makes it 12 titles at RG.

PrivateIsles · 27/03/2019 19:34

Yes, I might have something in my eye if that happens!

Lol at the rude underarm serves Grin

Raahh · 28/03/2019 14:18
Hmm

Pretty much everyone I wanted to do well, has already lost.

So, I'm left with Shaggy to beat Tiafoe (though I don't mind Tiafoe) Anderson to beat Fed and Felix- AA to beat Isner.

PrivateIsles · 28/03/2019 16:00

I know, it's slim pickings Raahh!! I feel like everything I post is full of Hmm at the moment!!

PrivateIsles · 28/03/2019 21:16

I wonder if he treated himself to a Bear

kazzaD66 · 28/03/2019 21:31

BearBearCakeGrin Happy birthday Stan!

magimedi · 28/03/2019 22:22

Happy Birthday, Stan.

One year nearer to retirement. yay! Grin

PrivateIsles · 28/03/2019 22:30

magi!! Grin

Greg has just called Shaggy "box office" - he's taken over the mantle from Kyrgios!!

There's "inclement weather" (sounds like something from Jane Austen to me) apparently in Miami so no play as yet.

magimedi · 28/03/2019 22:42

Shaggy can box in my office/office in my box ANY time! Grin
