*why

PrivateIsles · 10/03/2019 23:08

Serena retired from her match Shock looks like she had the doctor out on court. Not sure what was wrong.

Good win for Marin Cilic meanwhile. He has really cut back on the ball bouncing. It's a joy - just 6-7 bounces rather than 30 or whatever it was before! Made such a difference watching him. Hopefully a good sign for him!

I don't think I will make it for Rafa though Sad

Hope all goes well for your DD Raahh - take care Flowers Bear

JaneJeffer · 10/03/2019 23:49

I presume this comment is meant to sound sarcastic Grin

Grin it definitely sounds it!! And rightly so!

Btw. Stan v Rog is on! Also Shaggy v Cilic. Looks like Rafa had an easy win too. I'm liking the pink napkin top.

Raahh · 11/03/2019 07:27

I was very glad to see the Rafa win- even though I read he nearly missed his match, because he mixed up the start time. Saw a funny clip on fb of him apologising to Jared in his way to the match- and Donaldson laughing and saying 'well, they wouldn't start without you' you numpty Grin.

Good win for Cilic too.

And come on Stan, you big Bear Man!

Now, would he buy Fed, 4 bears for his dc, do you think?

All with tasteful Wintour approved monogrammed cardigans on , of course. Grin.

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 07:33

Grin at Rafa - haven't the clocks gone forward over there? Just to confuse us all further!

I would absolutely love it if Stan brought out four bears for the Federer kids Grin

I hope that's a good match. Stan does seem to be getting back to his best - fingers crossed Tennis

Raahh · 11/03/2019 08:22

Dh was saying something about the clocks changing over there (he very helpfully put a 'time in California' clock on the front of my phone Grin).

There is definitely a reason behind the bears. Stan-cam. Grin.

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 10:27

That's v considerate of your DH Raahh - any mention of tennis usually just gets an eye roll from my DH!

Grin at Stan Cam!!

Raahh · 11/03/2019 10:31

private I think he was getting sick of hearing me muttering to myself and checking googleGrin.

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 10:38

Grin Still, a positive outcome!!

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 17:46

Just watching a replay of Stan v Fucsovics while I get the tea ready Grin it's really good. Stan has just missed a couple of match points. Exciting! (Even if I know the result Grin)

Raahh · 11/03/2019 17:54

I am sooooooo bored. And cross- as WH Smith scammed me, as the sandwich/crisps/water I bought off the meal deal shelf, were not a meal deal, even though they were all on the same shelves.

And...there is no TV in the room. Not even to watch rubbish kids tvGrin. Poor dd2 has not been very well, and the treatment is taking ages to work- plus, she hated having the tube put down her nose.

I feel like we've been here a week already

I'm going to see if I can get prime up and running in a bit.

JaneJeffer · 11/03/2019 17:59

Hospitals seem to be in an alternate space time continuum don't they!

OP posts:
PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 18:05

Oh bless her - that doesn't sound much fun at all. And as for WH Smith - huh. They're useless. I hope they didn't try to flog you a massive bar of chocolate at the till as well?! Pests!

Hospital time zones are weird - a bit like airports. They're sort of like a parallel universe aren't they?

Stan and Marton have just had a very "emosh" hug at the net - Stan did well to get out of that one. Hope you can get prime going Raahh - for the kids' TV if not the tennis! Brew

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 18:13

Update from Argentinian tennis twitter (translation): "The Colt will not leave the top 10 next week" Grin unless Isner reaches the semis - and something else to do with Khachanov (has to win the title I think).

May the Colt remain in the top 10 at least!!!

Raahh · 11/03/2019 18:30

It's really odd. I feel like I've been here forever.

Ordinarily, I would relish the opportunity to sit in a quiet room and read a book- but when you've got no choice Grin, suddenly it seems like the most boring thing in the world Grin.

I think I've got Prime sussed - but every time I go turn something on, a nurse comes in, and I feel guilty . Grin.

Raahh · 11/03/2019 18:38

Grin @ The Colt.

Raahh · 11/03/2019 18:50

I've finally got chance to see a bit of the Raonic match- not the scoreline I was expecting to see.

Come on Milos!

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 19:44

I'm just keeping an eye on the score as my DS is making me watch this godawful film "Patrick" about a mischievous pug Grin

Anyway I see Milos is a break down in the third! Shock

Raahh · 11/03/2019 19:52

Oh blimey- speaking of pugs- when we first got to the hospital, we were approached by a woman with a pug in a Winnie the Pooh costume. It was a Pet therapy dog- and it looked like a doll (and totally out of it, really). It was really quite surreal. Grin

Raahh · 11/03/2019 19:52

Eek- come on ! Milos!

PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 20:04

Wait - so the pug was wearing the costume?! Grin madness - whatever next!!

Looks like Milos might be ok after all here (jinx alert)....

Raahh · 11/03/2019 21:24

Private yes- a Winnie the Pooh onesie . Poor dog. Grin. The woman had to keep saying to the completely baffled children in the waiting area that he was a real dog- he was so laid back, he looked stuffed. Grin.

JaneJeffer · 11/03/2019 21:33

PMSL at Winnie the Pug Grin

OP posts:
PrivateIsles · 11/03/2019 22:00

Grin I lost it a bit at stuffed Grin sorry.
Poor dog! Is it actually supposed to help people?!

Did anyone see Zverev's match just now? Confused idk what was going on with him, but he lost pretty easily. He looked in need of a therapy dog himself!
