There are rumours that Delpo needs knee surgery but nothing from the Colt himself so it could be nothing.... Worrying though...

I'm here all week....well, at least until Wednesday.

Poor Delpo.it was a real crack he took to his knee at the time. He will miss the bulk of the year if he has surgery on it, depending on what they do, I imagine.

It's crap, his fight back looked like it was really getting somewhere.

I'm going to be gutted if he's out for much longer, honestly. Why, tennis gods, why?!! He's not getting any younger either

Anyway. This Kermode business is all a bit odd isn't it? Apparently Roger asked to meet Djok about it but Djok couldn't "fit him in" until the day after the vote and he - Djok - apparently didn't contact Rafa either.

So Rafa went round to Roger's house and they discussed it over coffee I love the idea of that. This was in the NY Times if anyone's interested. It's the only paper I can stand reading these days tbh (good tennis reporting and no - or not much - Brexit!).

I don't really understand the Kermode stuff, but I know Rafa was asked about it a couple of weeks back somewhere, and he dismissed it with ' I'm not on the council now , no one (basically Djok) tells me anything. '.

I love the idea of Rafa and Roger having a natter over coffee.

I do need to get my head around it a bit, I know Djok is very cagey over the relationship with Kermode and the ATP.
I read Gimelstob is also part of the board involved in ousting Kermode.

It's all so political. Kermode has been around tennis in many capacities for a long time, knows his stuff, has done a lot for the players and the tournaments and is almost universally well liked. I don't think anyone apart from Djokovic and that nasty piece of work Gimelstob wanted him to go. Certainly, Rafa, Roger and Wawrinka have all said they wanted him to stay. I think Gimelstob wants the job but don't understand Novak's motives. All a bit unsavoury, really

There’s something on the tennis podcast about Kermode going - I’ll listen to it in a bit while I catch up with my housework. Sounds a bit dodgy that Djokovic couldn’t meet with Roger until after the vote - also love the thought of Roger and Rafa having coffee together.

Looks as if Rafa is playing at about 7.15 tonight so might get to see a bit of him and his cerise napkin top - I’m sure he looks very nice in it.

Poor Delpo - he’s had so much bad luck with his injuries - hopefully he can recover from this one.

Yes I couldn't really be bothered at first to read any of the kermode stuff, but once it started getting a bit controversial I got a bit more interested! It is odd that Novak hasn't explained his thinking, he'd probably be better off just coming out with it!

I haven't listened to the Pod yet so will have to get up to speed.

Well the weather seems to have improved in Indian Wells - Rafa looking rather nice in his napkin top. He looks really tall at the side if Schwartzman - but most people probably would!
