A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus.

😂 I’ve seen it all now, the emperor standing up in the bathtub to reveal..... wet trousers. This can be added to the ‘showering wrapped in a towel’ madness in My Love From Another Star.

Meant to add, that seems totally normal now. I was more surprised by the massage scene, which was quite overt for kdrama

I was even more surprised he kept the wet trousers on for the massage, but I guess it made the next scene possible because anything skimpier would have seen that scene edited out.

But good news about the swimming.

Incidentally, when Tubby was doing his miraculous transformation training I’m sure the river swimming scene was the same location as the ferry boat to the potter location in Mr Sunshine. The cliff that rears up on the other side from the stony beach is very distinctive.

It really rocks along very fast, no moody characters staring in to the distance for ages, and the half hour format provides some breaks

CJH looks different. He has certainly lost weight for this role but I’m trying to work out if he’s had a nose job. He looks somehow more refined, whereas I liked him more rugged. It might just be the weight loss and training though.

Betty - Is the nanny bio mother of Lady Ah-Ri? Was she the emperor’s last mistress? I had assumed she was his daughter with his first wife. Also, I’m assuming the Dowager Empress had the first empress bumped off, based on flashbacks.
