A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus.

Yes I found that sad & interesting too. Quite distressing. Out of a whole tube carriage the other day maybe one or two people were reading books. Nowadays everyone (ncluding me) are on phones.

Aaargh. I’m now up to date. How annoying. Devilish Joy is also on a translation go slow & we have to wait for the last 2 episodes of The Last Empress to drop & be translated. I need a diversion.

This evening, I’ve been doing a mood finding shuffle. I dipped my toe in: Fates and Furies (twist), I Need Romance (twist), Devilish Joy (subtitles interruptus 🙄), The Guardians (twist), Touch Your Heart (twist), Kill Me Heal Me (only 3 min, twist) and, finally, Pinocchio (maybe a ‘stick’). I hate being in between things and not sure what mood I’m in. Giving up now & heading to bed.

boatyard you could give Familiar Wife a go on Viki. Once you get past resenting the ML for being a selfish git and making a twattish decision it's quite good. And of course if he didn't make those decisions there'd be no plot.....

I think its deliberate. He’s meant to be unlikeable, irritating and untrustworthy. He accomplishes all of these things with great aplomb.

Aaah.

Started watching Encounter on viki. It seems promising. The story so far is nicely paced, beautifully shot, restrained and the back story is alluded to with subtlety, like a glimpse of ankle rather waving your bare tatas in everyone’s face.
