Patience is a virtue Bea. And, honestly, if you skip bits in P&P you will come totally unstuck. It twists and turns tons. Just bear with it.

YY Kang Soo is just luvverly, but so is Prosecutor Gu! I will be going back to finish it very soon as have only a few eps of The Last Empress left before having to wait for weekly episodes

On the meantime the dowager empress's facial expressions are just fabulous!! Especially while doing community service

I am part way through the episode where snake has Dong Sik holed up in the palace and everyone is tiptoeing around trying bot to give the game away. This bit of the palace is particularly colourful and funky looking.

Ooh, first the boring beige massage chair, then AbFab took the Lamborghini special edition for a spin and now Princess HissyFit is trying our the kiddy teddy bear version. About as subtle as being hit over the head with a marketing brick. 😂

CJH’s getaway outfit is all kinds of fabulous. 👌

And so it came to pass! Sunny’s dad trying to lamp the emperor in standard socks and doing an excellent impression of roadrunner trying to gain any purchase on the shiny wooden floor. A touch of unintentional comedy.

Yes! He needed bodyguard Totes. Evil nanny with her sharp coats shuffling around in huge fluffy slippers is another one.
Sunny’s dad is great, and her sister! So glad the family are ballsy & keep trying to get her out.

Have finished all current episodes 😱😱Have two days to wait for more 😫so am off to finish P&P then maybe Devilish Joy or search out Tunnel

Devilish Joy continues to frustrate with the glacial pace of the subtitling on the last 3 episodes. However, I am coming to a view that CJH’s altered appearance in The Last Empress is a combination of weight loss/training, much shorter hair, way more make-up and more washed out lighting.

Am back to P&P and it’s def hair & makeup . On closeups his skin looks like he has/had spots/acne so heavy make up to cover & poss make worse. Am fascinated by his short upper lip & the way his face crinkles in a jolie-laide way when he smiles

I rewatched the dressy-up/awkward date scene. I know he’s playing the character as uncomfortable, but CJH does not show off the YSL outfits as well as So Ji Sub and ‘him off Black’ (former models) would have. He looks rather awkward. In hindsight, the white suit was the best of a bad bunch.

Reading about FL on Viki, she is a big recording artist as well as actress & is huge in China, where she’s recorded albums in Chinese (didn’t specify which language). She & emperor no doubt did their own singing in the theatre scenes. It says he couldn’t break through in acting, so moved into musical theatre & once established there, started to get film & TV parts. The two of them are late 30s, so several years older than CJH.

The emperor is v good at physical comedy, I guess that may be his theatre background.

Have just finished My Strange Hero on Viki, all episodes are there now so ready to binge should anyone want. It's the guy from I'm Not A Robot who goes back to school after 9 years to take revenge after being expelled. Fun & fluffy though does have themes of suicide & despair from pressure. Enjoyed it a lot but it's not in my top 10.

On a kpop note, I'm listening to a fair bit of EXO to combat the greyness of the weather.

On a Kpop note here... I'm on the BTS wagon! Not only jaw dropping choreography... But very creative visually... Artsy... Gorgeous videos.... Have something to say.... Very very funny... (watching their Run BTS eps on Vlive)... And... Songs are a bop!! 😂😂😂
