Hey Betty, given that everyone in the royal hiusehold spends all their time in socks or bare feet, do you find their enthusiasm for smashing glass and crockery on the floor in a fit of temper surprising? I do. I’d be worried about missing a bit in the clear up and cutting my foot later.

The guy playing the emperor has a nice touch for comedy, and started out in musical theatre so presumably was singing himself in the proposal scene. Thought he sounded a bit good.

Continuity blip: bullet wound scar is on the back of his head and the bullet on the MRI was headed back towards front, but the flashback by the docks shows a through & through front to back. 🤔

The guy in the cell next to palace snake is dead empresses friend/bodyguard who got palace snake pregnant but disappeared due to being locked up. Also explains why he was looking at baby stuff in flashback with dead empress - it was for his baby ie Dong Sik.

Betty - I had the same thing when I saw the bloke in the asylum scribbling snake’s name all over the wall.

The double date in the Imperial Restaurant is properly cringe-inducing. I can’t even enjoy the scenery.

You know me so well, Betty. I was also watching on my phone, so I feel the need to revisit the shameless YSL product placement dressy-up scene too. The poor had to model half the flipping season’s range. Not sure I would have picked the white suit, but in semaphoring good vs evil (emperor in black) and looking lovely with her red frock, it did the job.
