Can you believe we are on thread 50! This is for all discussions on the BBC series Our Girl and any possible future series. Reference to Captain James is particularly welcome.

Evening. Very appropriate eejit. Not sure of the time difference but someone I met through work once told me that it gets completely dark at 6pm every night there without fail. I would find that very strange. I suppose the distance from the equator must make a difference - I sometimes think my education was lacking in some areas, for some reason I never learned anything about space or planets at school whilst my kids seem to know lots. I suppose it's an age thing, after all I can remember some of the Apollo missions so that speaks volumes.

So, tonight it's series 2 episode 3 entitled "A Touch of the Sun". My DH refers to these evenings as our 'Singalongs'.

I really don't get these "jolly japes". Too childish by half.

I’m not quite sure what we are meant to make of Pereira.

Major Bob is a real old sourpuss. Clearly doesn't like somebody with "connections".

I reckon that Major Bob has a chip on his shoulder about Mr Pereira's connections. Alex doesn't look amused.

Now Mr P is not listening to the wise advice of his sergeant. Hasn't he learned to do what the sergeant tells him.

I wonder how the colonel knows about Joy calling out the doctor?

The army flies out to H K on Cathay? Shouldn’t it be British Airways?

Colonel Dan looks rather odd in those white rolled up trousers.

Maybe they got a good offer with Cathay Pacific rather than BA eejit!
