I thought it was the boys he met up with too, but how would they know which house to graffiti? He doesn’t even really like there. I think Dr Legg will be dead & Dot will blame Stuart for killing him with shock at graffiti

The80sweregreat · 18/01/2019 21:12

It was a bit rushed but it must have been those boys.

SoupDragon · 18/01/2019 21:17

Keanu checked for a pulse

Good to see they've learnt from the mistakes over Christmas.

The80sweregreat · 18/01/2019 21:21

Soup : yep!
Not enough Ken action lately though.
I hope his in it a bit more in weeks to come.

youarenotkiddingme · 18/01/2019 21:39

Just caught up.

Stuart did seem genuinely upset at the graffiti.

The big question of the day though is

"Is dr legg dead dead or EE dead?"

Why are they all suggesting Hayley deliberately got herself run over?
Why is Kat acting like baby Cherry is her daughter. One minute being nasty to Hayley and the next empathetic?

PremierNaps · 18/01/2019 21:55

I think we are missing a vital point though. Did anyone else hear Rainie call herself mummy to Abi when she was holding the thermometer over the kettle.

MamaRaisingBoys · 18/01/2019 22:08

I’m so confused after that episode

southeastdweller · 18/01/2019 22:39

Dot told Stuart to leave yesterday so why is he still living with him?

I'm confused about how the vandals knew where Dr Legg was staying?!

Stu seemed genuinely upset about the swastika graffiti so I've no idea where this story's going unless he's had an overnight personality transplant.

Bloominglovely · 19/01/2019 00:58

Yes of course it was Stuart who did the grafitti. He is back playing manipulative mind games and trying to drive Dr Legg out of the house/into his grave.

WHY aren't Mick and Linda taking Sonia aside and telling her to bring Dot over to them so they can tell her what he did? He is only across the road. It really doesn't make sense.

Now Tiff is 'grooming' Denny. It is uncomfortable again.

As for the whole square out playing football, another silly filler. Mitch was all for coaching the team and now can't wait to pull out of it. Was that his little girl who was sitting beside Mick saying she cared for her mother? The whole football team story is silly and pointless. It was like an EE Children in Need episode tonight.

Akire · 19/01/2019 07:32

Fair play to Stu he can act! We are all 50/50 if he’s sorry or not. Not sure many actors who could pull it off. He could have paid kids to do but surely you would make sure you were safely out of the way so it 100% coulnt be you. Then again it could all be an act...

What’s been annoying me about Slater story is normally any big Xmas story is done and dusted by the 27th Jan. But 3 weeks later we still haven’t moved on from any Slater screaming and going over the same ground.

Keep wanting Martin to come in at breakfast and expode at the amount of people living there. Why can’t Alfie blag rent and hire Kims empty house? I would have murdered everyone by now just to get to use the loo.

tiredmoma · 19/01/2019 07:33

I thought the football scenes with some of the residents from the square taking time out of their very 'busy' lives were nice pointless but nice however pushy mum is a right pain in the bum and seriously why didn't M/M ring to find out about the bus?!
Poor dr legg!! I think stu was being genuine this time although when he was doing the dishes with his pinny on he looks as if he was plotting something!!! So he could have us all fooled

Akire · 19/01/2019 07:36

Bloominglovely yes it was so a children in need episode. I’m going have watch again the bathroom episode and find out who exactly she is. I mean you might in a crazy way lock your own child in a van with no windows if you are hiding she exists but not anyone else’s child???? It’s like another 35 new people last night, loads kids , other coach , rabbi, more teenagers. Have they got a job lot or hitting some BBC target of using new actors and giving them their first break?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 19/01/2019 07:44

I don't know if I'm committed enough to rewatch, but didn't Stuart re-wash a cup that was already washed and on the draining board? Hiding some sort of poison evidence? Especially with the over dramatic putting on of the marigolds to wash a single teacup. He's also obviously in on the boys and the grave/graffiti

southeastdweller · 19/01/2019 08:46

He didn't do the graffiti on the door. He ran after the vandals (one of them had a spray can) and when he couldn't catch them we saw a shocked reaction when he turned round and faced the door. He also said 'Oh no'.

Optimist1 · 19/01/2019 08:58

I get your point, southeast, but Stuart is very devious - in my view the pinny and marigolds were to create a caring, domesticated persona to cover up the evil persecution of Dr L and the "Oh, no" was a bit of window dressing. How he engineered the situation re boys and their spray can I have no idea!

SoupDragon · 19/01/2019 09:08

I'm not convinced about Stuart's change in character. There is no way he would meekly go about the cleaning. He could have paid kids to do it, having seen how Dr Legg had been about his parents grave. Everything he did was then for show to prove his innocence.

SoupDragon · 19/01/2019 09:09

Mitch was on the phone to track down the bus. I'm sure he was.

The80sweregreat · 19/01/2019 09:11

Rainie is acting weird and her calling herself mummy did go over my head a bit ; I assumed she said it to her as she's only one and wouldn't understand ' grandad brannings crazy girlfriend and you are

My great niece ' which is what she is. I think? Abi ( who died) was her niece. Can you have a 'great niece? 'She is a great auntie however.

She is even getting hooked on the attention of being poorly : or is planning to run off with her and pass herself off as her mum.
She can't have children herself ; although that's not necessarily a huge problem in EE!
She has always been strange.

The80sweregreat · 19/01/2019 09:16

Stuart has a way of making you think and that's a good quality in an actor. He came in it as a vigilante character : although he was clearly not quite the ticket, he still made us think he was doing things ' for the greater good' when he really wasn't.

I said on here ' he didn't paint the door' but reading this thread has made me think again; he could well be guilty. The boys ran off as they saw the graffiti and thought they would get the blame.
Hmm. All very intriguing.

southeastdweller · 19/01/2019 09:20

80s one of the boys ran off holding a spray can.

SoupDragon · 19/01/2019 09:20

I don't think he painted the door - he couldnt have done it without being seen. I do think he arranged for it to be painted though.

The80sweregreat · 19/01/2019 09:29

South, hmm he did.
I Don't know , but the fact that some on here think Stu is involved somehow ( maybe he paid them off to paint the in the cemetery too?) makes me wonder. I still think Dot will throw him out. This will send him over the edge of course.

The80sweregreat · 19/01/2019 09:38

Everyone is acting oddly.

Rainie, Stuart , mick ( blaming Linda for getting him out of prison?) Kat for letting blagger Alfie back into her screwed up life and moaning at, then feeling sorry Hayley.
Tiffany also for grooming Denny. Allowing Evil to manipulate that whole situation.
Mick not helping Dot to remove Stuart ( or at least telling her what he is really capable of)
They are all mad !

Akire · 19/01/2019 09:40

If he was washing up in the kitchen how did he hear them at door? I mean takes one person 20seconds to spray why would he have heard that? Also Dr leg would have got out of the car not very fast so in the few seconds it took for Stu to come out, kids to run off and him to look shocked Dr Legg would have seen them running off. Where was Mr Rabbi? Or did he get Taxi back?

The80sweregreat · 19/01/2019 09:45

Stuart probably knows these boys and arranged it all ; threatened them with ' death by marigolds and a washing up brush'
