I know it's supposed to be about Stacey but I'm really pleased for Kevin. He looked so down in the mouth this time last year. He couldnt hide it and we couldnt help be feel for him. But he's pulled it back - got back on his horse so to speak and is flying now. A lot can happen in a year. Nice ending

I liked the fact that Neil went straight over to congratulate Stacey's mum, and that it was him who put her on his shoulders when the others hoisted KFG up. Seems a genuinely nice guy.

I think the judging panel would be a bit flat without him. I find him amusing, rather than irritating, and like his comments about the dances.

I love Bruno, at least he's fun. I think Darcey is the most boring judge. Shirley always seems up for a laugh and obviously Craig is great, with his critic comments and making Kevin so salty hahaha

I said I'd watch it with ds6 this morning so had a 12 hour phone ban in case I saw the winner by accident
I'm happy with the result i didn't want joe to win just due to his fan base I wanted Faye to win but Kevin made me cry - Wally!!!

Faye was amazing

I also think the panel would be a bit dull without Bruno. Also I like the way he stands up to see the dance properly. Shows he cares.

I also loved Ashley in the final, she knew she was never going to win but she gave it socks, danced so so well, and IMO played a huge part in making it an engaging final.

I've just done the same thing as we were out. I thought Joe was going to win as he had more crowd pleasing dances, but I'm pleased for Kev too. He's clearly a talented and patient choreographer. He's been so close so often and disappointed. I enjoyed all of the final.

Articles this morning are all saying Craig was stony faced as the other judges "beamed with joy"! They certainly didn't. I thought they all looked pissed off.

On a side note- on the Watch channel just now there is is a Stacey Dooley documentary on where she is in a boot camp woman's prison in the US. It's quite an eye opener! Hadn't really seen much of her stuff before, it's from 2012.

Go to BBC IPlayer (there's an app or you can go via the BBC website), go to channels and select BBC3. There are loads of Stacey Dooley documentaries. She did some fascinating ones and I love the way she's so empathetic and builds good relationships with the people she meets. There's a brilliant one where she's with an all-women group of Yazidi soldiers who are fighting ISIS.

After Kevin gave his speech he hugged Stacey and I'm sure he said "I love you" as it cut away to the audience? Anyone else hear it?

Really pleased for Kevin. I can’t blame him for his Stacey crush (if it is that) - his hearts broken & he’s dancing very closely with someone for a few months hours at a time.

Just popping by to read the morning comments. I thought Stacey was a worthy winner even though I never really warmed to her myself. I’d have been happy with any of them. Even Joe.

I love that these threads are (mostly) good humoured and light hearted, (can’t be doing with the sniping and vitriol that pops up elsewhere).

Happy Stacey won, but sad i's all over. Last night result proved it's above all an entertainment show and personality trumps technique, dance experience and the judges comments.

Madeley used to drop mad hints he wanted to do Strictly way back in its earliest days and never has which makes me wonder if he tried his hand at getting Chloe included and was rebuffed.

So true, noodle. Some people just work themselves up into a froth for the sake of it.

I wondered if Chris Evans was interested at going on it as he talks about it so much.
I’ve been thinking through kids tv presenters too. Andy from CBeebies or Radzi from Blue Peter seem game for anything.

I don't think it's as hard as people think to get people to do Strictly. It's good publicity (in most cases), and they are paid decently for 3-4 months of what is mostly, fun work. The myth that people are reluctant to do it because of the 'strictly curse' is just nonsense.

Rebecca Adlington is another one who's wanted to do Strictly for years. I think the producers are very selective with who they have on the show, and they always need a mix of sportspeople, soap stars, pop stars, comedians etc etc.

This year there was:

Actors - Charles, Danny (2)
Pop stars - Faye, Ashley, Lee (3)
Comedian - Sean (1)
TV personalities - Dr Ranj, Stacey, Katie, Susannah, Kate (5)
Radio star - Vick (1)
Sports people - Graeme, Lauren (2)
Other - Joe (1)

So a good mix

Loved Faye and Giovanni both dances were captivating I voted for them, but really pleased for Kevin too,I'm not a Stacy fan the way she grabs Claudias face irrationally annoyed me, but really like Kevin. He takes Craig's putdowns with good grace and all his celebs love him so he's doing something right.
Wish they would know do a winners strictly I need something decent to watch now it's finished.
