Minamouth I know what you mean . Just heard ADB on R2 he was answering questions from Strictly fans Quite interesting too. They each said they want Stacey to win. I had moment of hope Also early on Darcey said she wants a woman to win this year. So you never know !!!!

I think the right people are in the final (except maybe Charles should've been in there somewhere).

So excited for the final, I've never watched a series fully before, only watched dances online or the odd episode before, am ready for a 2.5 hour dancing marathon! (well, to watch one... although I may jiggle in my seat if the urge strikes)

What dances do everyone reckon they'll dance for judges choice and own favourite? I'm going to have to go on youtube and re-watch them all to decide!

I would have much preferred Charles in the final instead of Ashley.

Funny to think that back in week 1 that I thought Danny and Vick would both be contenders for the final! I think Less, and those 2 were booted too soon - they each had a good few weeks left in them.

The judges' choice is usually a dance from earlier on in the series that they think the celebs can improve on, whereas the couple's favourite tends to be one of their highest scorers.

It'll be interesting to see what the judges will pick for Faye or Ashley as they've been consistently highly marked.

I'd love to see Faye's Grease quickstep again but think she might choose her musical theatre one. Maybe her rumba for the judges' choice? Or will they not make anyone do rumba in the final since it's not very well liked?

I think Stacey would like to do her Charleston again but I don't know if they'd repeat a dance from the semi.

Joe will probably choose a ballroom number for his nan.

Yeah I didn't find Lee likeable, but do think he was half-decent and had potential actually Likeability does seem to have a big factor in it though.

My ideas for possible dances Saturday:

Joe- Personal: Blackpool Quickstep, Judges: Halloween Foxtrot or Kermit Waltz
Faye- Personal: Musical/Jazz choice, Judges: Tango
Ashley- Personal: Chip shop Jive and Judges: Contemporary
Stacey- Personal: Paso doble or Les Mis, Judges: Samba

I think Faye will choose her Couples Choice and the judges will choose her quickstep. Will be interesting to see what they're like when not themed.

Ashley will choose her salsa and the judges might go for the foxtrot or VW. Maybe.

Joe will choose his tango, I think, and the judges his Charleston. Or turn it around.

Stacey will choose her paso, and the judges the foxtrot.

I don't think we'll see anything from Blackpool because of the extra dancers involved.

Joe was RUBBISH. I'm glad he finally got (some of) the marks he deserves. I don't believe the 'Oh, of course he couldn't do a good AT, he's only little' line; lots of South American men are small and slight but can still do a convincing tango! And his VW looked like something from about Week 3. I'll be SO cross if he wins just because of his billions of followers (who are they, anyway? young men and women? Teenagers? Older pervy women who fancy him?).
Lauren was the weakest, sadly, and needed to go, but she was sweet, she improved a lot and I had warmed to her over the series.
Faye's samba was piss-poor –like bad wedding dancing. Sick of the overmarking. However, her AT was exceptional.
Ashley's AT was frankly boring and her paso was too aggressive with not enough artistry.
Stacey's Charleston was full of personality and the VW was dramatic and romantic. I loved in the latter when they did that series of pivots and she burst out laughing. I'm no expert but am happy to believe those who say the technique was a bit sloppy. I don't really care though because I love watching her and Kevin dance. I think Kevin adores her.

I also think Joe’s unfair advantage of bringing along an army of youtubers is tougher on the other contestants than any ringer could be, but he hasn’t attracted vitriol like Ashley has.

Agree. At one time the judges had the final say in who won, but not now.

I think they were so blatantly favouritist that the producers were forced to change this part of the format.

Did anyone notice how Janette was trying to get into camera shot at the back of the screen? She tried to push Oti out of shot, and Oti, with a big smile, just pushed her back. grin 55 mins 11 seconds Just after Stacey and Kevin had their scores. I do like Janette but this constant mugging to camera is getting quite irritating.

I don't like Jannette. I think she's a PITA.

Agree. He just makes me cringe, he has been way overmarked.

Charles was a much better dancer than Joe.

@GrouchyKiwi - Ah no, do you think they won't choose any of the dances that had the extra dancers in it? That sucks, a lot of my favourites were those. Forgot about Joe's Charleston, that might be a good one to do again.

What are some of your lot's favourite show dances of the past? I've never watched one before and am intrigued on what they'll all do for theirs.

They've definitely done dances in the final from Blackpool or Musicals Week before (Gemma did her Blackpool dance last year). I think they only do them if they can remove the extra dancers without having to change too much though. So Faye could do her Charleston because they didn't really interact with the other dancers, but Joe couldn't do his Joseph number without having to change all the parts where he was lifted.

Surely there are a lot of pros. hanging about without partners now to stand in for the ones that danced at Blackpool.

Godrestyemerry Schade If the judges were biased towards their favourites and so the voting mechanics were changed. it seems that the chubers are showing irrational favouritsm too. Maybe it'll be change again?

Caroline did her Charleston again in the final and that had loads of backing dancers

Oh good, as I'd like to see either Joe's quickstep, Ashley's Jive or Faye's Charleston again if they were ones they also enjoyed the most.

The romantic in me wants Joe and Dianne to do a slow number too try telling me there's nothing going on there! Might not be able to take him seriously with neon red hair though haha

I would have liked to have seen Lee stay in the competition for a lot longer.

Not really bothered who wins however as I can't get too excited about any of their dances this Series.

Pasha did a Shrek themed dance with Chelsee Healey, he was in full green makeup the first time but when they did it in the final he just wore the headband with the ears. So I think for something like the Minions they would just wear the outfits without the yellow makeup.

Another thought - presumably the producers wouldn't want a couple to do 2 very similar dances in the final, like a waltz and a Viennese. So who gets first pick, the couples or the judges?
