Are all the sleb dancers back next week?

Vick - has she been given a black mark because of her 'it's a fix' comments?
Snean - he's been officially distanced from the show?
Danny - if he was a no show on ITT it might mean that he doesn't show for the final.
Lee - he didn't do ITT but at least he called in.

I thought that about Kevin tonight Sarah, I think it must be hard not to fall a little in love with your partner unless they're a total pain in the neck, especially if you're in a bit of a vulnerable place with a rather complicated marriage breakdown like Kevin.

It isn't hateful to not enjoy someone's dances. I didn't enjoy them at all. I found them lacking in any joy on her part, it was all technical and no "soul". That's why I didn't vote for her. To try and put it down to hate and jealousy is silly.

In the DO tonight I actually preferred Lauren despite any disparity in skill. What she has had to overcome/work around to get there required far more effort than Ashley has put in.

I agree that nobody should find out the spoilers and then come on here and pretend not to know while letting out hints, but sometimes folk may not post their thoughts on the main show til the next day, does that mean they can’t speculate on the DO? It’s what people like to do.

The problem being Choccy that it's becoming impossible to tell speculators from people who DO know and are presenting it as theory, particularly for those who do read the spoilers.

The other thread this was a problem on was Handmaids Tale. I looked ahead at clips and then found people repeatedly posted the content of those clips as their theory of what might happen

Ashley looks too drama school. You know the kid at the nativity that has had the lessons since they could walk just so they get Mary or Joseph. Not the kids fault but the entitlement has been drummed in since birth.

I happen to think encouraging consumerism in preteens and selling them "Merch" at highly inflated rates is decidedly unlovely myself.

I agree with SoupDragon that there isn't enough joy in most of Ashley's dances. There's something very stage school about her perfomances, it's all eyes-and-teeth and more-is-more, there's very little stillness or nuance or even pleasure. Her Foxtrot was great though and her Jive was good despite the overly hammy acting, but a lot of her dances suffered with being too much content crammed in without much charm.

She seems like a nice person and she's really trying hard and probably enjoying the training, but it does seem to be more of a job to her and not so much a voyage of discovery. Also I can't believe that she's really so wholesome and cutesy as she presents herself, IMO anyone who gets to their late thirties without developing a cynical and bitter streak doesn't really understand the world at all.

I agree, I think Joe will win, I like him but don't think he deserves to be the winner. Now Lauren is out, all the grans will vote for him.

I think last year they let them all do one dance of their choice / judges choice and then their showdance, one gets booted for having the lowest votes and then the three do one more dance each (that they've done before) - so that we definitely see all the showdances. In years before that they booted the 4th couple just before the show dance which seemed quite mean.
I hope Stacey wins but I think it will be Joe. Fayes demeanour is so different to Ashley's, always seeming to enjoy the dance and be passionate about the show, whereas Ashley seems just to aggressively want to "show people my a game!" which utterly grates on a British audience.

Ooh, I rarely watch the show live (have very recalcitrant child to put to bed who tends to play up!) and I love speculating on the DO and I’ve got it right the past few weeks - but I’d never, ever look at the spoiler! I haven’t been passing my thoughts off as theories, I promise! It’s been quite easy to call the past few weeks - Charles and Ashley were givens and throughout the series, the bottom person on the leaderboard has frequently been in it as well.

I felt really sorry for Ashley tonight. And her paso was bonkers and absolutely full of passion - I don’t know how anyone could call that technical and soulless. She’s just so incredibly polished and so fast that I think sometimes her skill does overpower the emotion but it’s definitely there. Anyway, when she poured her heart into her contempowaft number her critics on here ripped her to shreds for milking her grief for votes so she’s very much between a Rock and a hard place when it comes to showing feeling! She will be the first out next week and I think Joe will be yet another undeserving male winner.

I also think Joe’s unfair advantage of bringing along an army of youtubers is tougher on the other contestants than any ringer could be, but he hasn’t attracted vitriol like Ashley has.

If it wasn’t for Joe, I’d say it would finally be the year of the Kevin. I’d love to see Faye’s reaction if she wins though! I was very moved by how overcome she was to go through tonight.

For me the problem with Ashley is that she started the competition with an impressive level of dance talent and has stayed at that same level. The judges consistently score her highly (from what I remember) and it looks a bit like she has coasted through. It's obviously frustrating for her though, as she must have taken the gig on the basis that her experience wasn't an issue. The Strictly bosses are to blame, not Ashley.

I've just watched the Steps video mentioned below Shock it is lovely! So nice to see them just singing - very classy and surprisingly fantastic vocals by all 3 ladies (and I say that as a true Steps fan Wink)
