Ooh loving these blasts from the past!
Smug Chambers' series was my introduction to Strictly. I loved his and Camilla's partnership from the first episode of thay series (may have also crushed a bit on Smuggo back then
) Also his cameraderie with Austin. I hope that wasn't contrived!
I understood he had some light stage school dance experience - how naive I was
Does anyone remember how his whole Strictly journey was about getting married

I found it funny at the time but I'd probably find it unbearable now
Kicking myself that I didn't watch from series 3 (and 4). My work colleagues at the time talked about it incessantly and I thought it sounded ridiculous. I didn't realise the professional dancers were so mesmerising gah.
Encyclo I'd LOVE to see Joe in a DO with Faye/Ashley/Stacey. Or Stacey against Faye/Ashley. The judges might implode. They'd be twisting themselves in knots trying to justify their decision, especially if Faye/Ashley danced an obvious blinder.
I quite like AJ. It's nice to showcase some fresh dance talent from the UK. I thought he was about 22 max
The problem is they can't exactly give him an older lady partner, it would look a bit wrong (I say that as a middle-aged woman!). Hence he's had a run of good/Olympic partners which seems a bit unfair on the other pros. Usually everyone takes their turn with the duffers and older contestants (with the exception of golden boy KFG, Susan C excepted - even so she was popular in the comedy contestant vein).
I really hated AJ's partnership with Mollie. I actually thought she was 30-34. She always looked like she was dancing with a teenager despite not being that old herself! Has she done that showbiz thing of knocking a couple of years off her real age
I just didn't feel much connection between them and the tabloid stories were so awkward.
