This was the one he got slated for "making it all about himself" at the end. I think it fits the dance and Laura was recovering from an ankle injury. Gio's had a pretty fortunate run of partners

Maybe I have this wrong but apart from Ashley and Faye, have any of the others done the Rumba? Arguably the hardest dance technically and emotionally, doesn't feel very fair that some celebrities don't have to do it. I have felt this year that Stacey and Joe have been consistently over marked, probably to keep a younger demographic happy. I had been voting Charles so was sad to see him go.

Yes the rumba seems to have been conveniently forgotten hasn't it? I sensed they were trying to ditch it in favour of couple's choice. That hasn't been a roaring success mind!

Much happier to see people who were always going to suck at Rumba do something else instead. Even that dodgy basketball number is marginally preferable to the horror that would have been Joe and Diane’s rumba.

I am surprised that Faye is doing samba rather than salsa, she is tall which I thought made samba rolls harder and thought that her lifts in charleston were good. AS was because Gio got injured the week it was due iirc

AJ has the most to do this week, 3 other couples will have access to AT/charleston choreographers, he won't. Nor will Pash but Ashley will pick up the routines- esp AS - quicker.
Wonder whether samba will be kiss of death. Mollie avoided it until it was inevitable. She missed AT that year.

I enjoyed Charles’s rumba, it made up for the serial killer tango he inflicted on us previously. He deserved to stay.

I honestly can’t fathom the marking based on the comments. Apparently that was the best male sleb rumba ever, you’d think that would have got him a ten. Although I think that came from Bruno so, y’know...

I expect Joe to be quite disengaged during his AT. Diane will be doing all the trickery.

Yes Lauren and AJ have a mountain to climb. I’m sure he’s perfectly capable of choreographing two dances in the time available but tango and samba both have unique techniques that he’ll have to teach Lauren from scratch on top of the actual choreography. It’s a good job she’s super fit because they’re going to need to train all the hours.

Joe and Stacey have it so much easier doing the VW with (probably) limited choreography and technique they’re familiar with from the waltz.
