Although I can't think about January yet...

I'm still in denial it's nearly December- which means ds will be 16 , and I will be 47 and another year will be over.

Pfffttt. Switzerland won and Fed and Bencic made speeches (both funny and sweet). Then Zverev made a big speech. But there "wasn't time" for Kerber - double grand slam champion no less - to speak!! Ugh.

JaneJeffer · 05/01/2019 13:48

They need to put some Oscars style music on when Sascha won't stop! Poor Angelique.

JaneJeffer · 05/01/2019 13:51

I like the villain Djok imagery Grin

I'm very disappointed that our handsome, bearded meter reader has been replaced by a right miserable looking older gentleman Sad

PrivateEggnog · 05/01/2019 13:57

Yes - maybe then he'd STFU Grin

Very disappointing about the meter reader!! Grin

Raahh · 05/01/2019 13:59

I'd be cross, if I was Kerber.

talking of beards, I need to detangle my dog's- he decided to have nosy in here and seems to have brought half of it home. Grin

I my post-Christmas confusion I forgot it was Saturday and now I'm suspicious of said meter reader! They don't usually work weekends.

PrivateEggnog · 05/01/2019 14:20

Hmm very suspicious IMHO!

PrivateEggnog · 05/01/2019 14:21

Hope the dog grooming goes well Raahh!

Raahh · 05/01/2019 14:34

private he hates being brushed. Fortunately, there is lots of leftover cheese to bribe him with whilst I try to get thorny bits out of his 'tache.

Even the 24 hour Christmas channel has gone back to normal now.Sad

And I need to put my tree away.

All I want for the next week is good news on the tennis front. looking at you Rafa. No drama before Melbourne.

I am looking forward to the Aussie open though. I just hope the spectators don't bug me as much as they did last year.

I read that Djok smashed his racquet in his match. ( not an unusual thing). On Fb, some were musing if this means he's broken one of his new year's resolutions already.Grin

Just seen BustaGut has won the first set in his final against Berdych. I'd like to see him win.

Sorry to go back to what you were talking about earlier - I think I missed a few posts - love the Busta Gut name! He's done brilliantly to beat Djok. Also I see Tsonga's good run came to an end against Medvedev. I really hope he has a good season (Tsonga I mean).

Loved the Rafa link too. Fingers crossed he can have a good two weeks in Melbourne as well.

Raahh · 05/01/2019 18:06

Kevin won in Pune (India) , so thats a good start to the year for him too.

I have a soft spot for Kevin, and his teeny, tiny, dog.Grin

Imagine him taking it for walks - isn't he about 6'6" or something?!

Raahh · 05/01/2019 18:56

private I like to think he carries it in a man bag. Grin

Raahh Grin

PrivateEggnog · 05/01/2019 20:03

Grin now that I would like to see!!

JaneJeffer · 05/01/2019 20:36

I'll tell you who is 6'6", Sascha Zverev that's who! Bet you didn't know that. I hope some of the commentators see this in case they'd like to mention it.

Raahh · 05/01/2019 21:48

Tennis players- apart from Schwartzman and a couple of others - all so very, very tall these days.

I think Kevin is 6 ft 8. Which is exactly 2 feet taller than me.

Because I am very short. Grin but too tall to be an Elf, as I tell dd2

I see Rafa Is going sleeveless in Melbourne. Always a good look. Grin although it is yellow, and that hasn't always been a lucky colour.

I was quite glad to see that Kevin and Keith both won their tournaments yesterday. Kei in particular must be really pleased with his progress.

And Bust a Gut beat Berdych to win in Qatar. Tennis

Raahh · 07/01/2019 12:14

Rafa has just lost to Kyrgios in the Fast4 thingy in Sydney. It doesn't count as proper tennis, imo, so that's ok. Grin. He looked very smiley in the clip I saw, hopefully the thigh problem was minor.

I just want him to at least be able to make it to Melbourne.

JaneJeffer · 07/01/2019 12:23

Fecking Kyrgios!

magimedi · 07/01/2019 12:24

Let's hope that's all Kyrgios wins this year!

JaneJeffer · 07/01/2019 12:24

Amen magi
