PS did anyone see the interview with Roger and Serena after the match? It was a bit of a love-in - but also quite sweet. And Tiafoe hit a ball right at Roger's head from pretty close range!

I'm making roast beef too but as I forgot to put it on in time it won't be ready for ages. We're all knackered here. I went to bed so late and then DS1 came in at all hours and woke up DS2 and his friend who was sleeping over and they started talking and laughing and I had to get up and tell them to go back to sleep.

yy, I found the post match interview with Roger and Serena a bit much- and also felt that Bencic and Tiafoe were rather dismissed in order for it to happen.

it didn't seem as sincere as when Roger and Rafa talk about each other- or even Roger and Novak, for that matter.

There is no point exacerbating an injury to prove anything.( much as I don't want Djok to have an easy ride in Australia, and it looks like he will).

Just been watching a bit of Ferrer v Ebden. David was a sight for sore eyes! He won and was full of energy, legging it about the court like a 20yo. Brill. Mixed doubles next, hope to catch a bit of that as well.

magi I know what you mean. I find it impossible to warm to Djok. I can imagine it was expected he would win that match easily, too. He has been taken to 3 sets in his previous rounds though.

Of course it just be he's just using it as a warm up for the 'real event' in Melboune so not pushing himself/or has an injury he's not mentioned...yet.

I'm just watching the Hopman Cup final (Ger v Switzerland) on catch up. Zverev and Kerber don't seem to be communicating very well. Zverev keeps poaching shots and stuffing them up . I would be quite annoyed if I were Angie. Eg she was at the net getting ready to play a high forehand, and he ran in front and hit a high backhand - obviously a much harder shot - into the net. It's like a tennis version of mansplaining.

Federer looks like he is playing really well btw.
