Joe and Dianne perform a Couples’ Choice (Street and Commercial) dance to 'Jump Around' by House of Pain

Oh dear god, the band are going to ANNIHILATE that! ShockShockShock

CurbsideProphet · 20/11/2018 19:32

Finally did that mean no loo trips? Shock

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 20/11/2018 19:39

Aaaaggggghhh, I woke up this morning just before 4am with the introduction to 'Ooh aah, just a little bit' going round and round my head. Not even as far as when the lyrics start, just the electronic intro. Angry I don't have to wake up until 7.15. Did I go back to sleep? Did I fuck! Did the intro stop going round in my head? Not until my second coffee after the school run.

Hallo! Checking in and dusting off my old name - I did love it dearly, and still stand by its important message, but it is a teeny bit outdated.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Chris and Ola at the time, but I was charmed by Chris’s frank and good-humoured admission on Strictly the Best that he was manifestly the second worst dancer in the (two person) final, that Ricky was totally robbed, and that there is a pleasing cosmic justice in the fact that Ricky is a huge Hollywood star while Chris is doing segments about jam festivals on the One Show.

Is anyone else tempted by the Harry/Louis/Jay/Aston dance/song/gymnastics/drumming show? I think it must be the peri-menopause. I can’t decide whether to go for HRT or row B in the dress circle.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 20/11/2018 20:54

Could you, umm, link to that show please AnyoneButAndre? For a friend, you understand. Grin

AnyoneButAndre · 20/11/2018 21:05

I genuinely couldn’t link to it at first - it’s blocked from my home Wi-fi for some reason. I’d suspect DH for my own protection, except he’s a total IT klutz and I’m sure he doesn’t know how to black/whitelist sites.

Anyway, just for you, I’ve switched to 4G and here it is. Don’t blame me if you end up buying Josh Groban CDs and shopping at Per Una. www.ripituptheshow.com/about

FuzzyCustard · 20/11/2018 21:07

Is it safe?

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 20/11/2018 21:08

Josh Groban does have a nice voice, he's no Hozier though. And I will admit to sometimes strolling through Per Una, when I need a laugh.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 20/11/2018 21:11

£85 Shock plus flights to London. I do quite fancy it though.

GrouchyKiwi · 20/11/2018 21:12

Ah, Josh Groban. DH refers to him as our children's step-father.

doublethink · 20/11/2018 21:22

Agggghhhhhhh!! Just watching and 'It takes Two' on the Iplayer and I cannot bear how Ashley totally over eggs the cake when she's pretending that everything is so hard, and her faux confused face when she is being shown how to do routines Hmm.

AnyoneButAndre · 20/11/2018 21:23

Eleanor Rigby can make a great Tango because it has a driving bass line on the cello. This is Mark Ramprakash’s Tango, which I personally don’t love (although I loved him generally) because I think he just lets his looks do the acting for him. I think Charles could do a very effective, if technically imperfect, Tango to that.

On the topic of Per Una ( minor derail) does anyone bar me remember that it was COOL for like the first two years before being sucked into the MANDS can't do anything right vacuum?

We were students and we all bought jeans there and I had a lovely going out skirt

What the fuck happened?

(I love Josh Groban and Hozier)

OublietteBravo · 20/11/2018 21:52

I had a corduroy jacket from Per Una as I student, which I totally loved.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 20/11/2018 22:03

I've seen the rip it up show on the last tour - Harry, Aston and Louis. Actually had a great time!

AnyoneButAndre · 20/11/2018 22:07

Go on then SSITS, sell it to me. Is it worth the embarrassment?

SheStoodInTheStorm · 20/11/2018 22:13

It was good fun with good music. I'm not going to say it's amazing, but Harry Judd is hot very talented Wink Some of the dancing was brilliant!

SheStoodInTheStorm · 20/11/2018 22:51

Although, thinking on it... I recall really enjoying it and saying that I'd surprisingly had a really good night! I'd go again Smile

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 21/11/2018 06:28

Thank you for the excellent review finally

Poor Oti- can’t be pleasant for her

MyNameIsJane · 21/11/2018 07:22

I have to admit that I liked Chris Hollins. Glitterball

Finallymorethananumber · 21/11/2018 07:23

@derxa I don’t dislike Graeme, but I can’t say I am a huge fan. I appreciate that as a sportsperson he is going to be pretty single-minded and determined, but a wave and a smile costs nothing. If nothing else it’s going to get us more on his side and enthusiastic about his dancing, like it or not part of this competition is about popularity.

@CaptainBrickbeard it is definitely possible that the celebs are nervous, I certainly would be! It is an amazing experience to see it live, and I have been so fortunate to have had tickets twice, but it is not necessarily a comfortable one. I think anything that prepares people before they arrive helps, so maybe these posts will give the next ticketholders a heads up.

@CurbsideProphet while we were in the circus area there were toilets but at times the queues were horrendous. Once we got through to the ballroom and the filming started there were no toilet breaks until the end of the live show. They were particularly strict about this if you were sat in the front few rows where it would be obvious that you were missing.

I forgot to add that during the break between the live show and filming the results show, we were given a small carton of juice and a freddo. It didn’t help a lot but it was something and we were grateful.

Happy to answer any more questions, if anyone has them.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 21/11/2018 07:34

I would have to wear a nappy I think Blush just wouldn’t be able to hold it! Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/11/2018 08:57
