Shiny new thread - my apologies to Satsuma for the title, you are the minority!

I just think they should alternate between Latin and Ballroom each week like they used to! Kate had 2 weeks of ballroom. Not that it has helped her.

I also am really underwhelmed by couples choice. The judges don't know how to judge the dances as it's not their area. Back to regular dances please!

I still think James and Pamela Stephenson should have won, years ago I know but I loved her.

I didn't mind Chris either, they had a toastie every monday morning before training

The one that annoys me the most was when Kristina and Simon didn't win, their tango was out of this world.

ellenanora5 my dad who never votes due to the cost and faff of a call from his landline voted three times for Simon in the Final, he really thought he deserved to win.

The main thing I remember about the Emma Bunton series was her unexpected semi final departure...as she announced she was pregnant very soon after, I am still convinced it was contrived as she couldn't do lifts etc for her showdance and/or early pregnancy sickness and exhaustion was too much but they couldn't announce it.

Because it's much more exciting when it's all a hot, random mess? Or because the dances are all gradually morphing into the exact same thing so what's the point?

No one wanted Bunton in the final because people were sick to the teeth of judges fawning over her when she was good but not exceptional - I don't think it was rigged for her to leave.

Personally, I think things would be a lot fairer if the judges were asked to rank the dances in order after all the dances - avoids tied scores and stops them having to hand out loony marks to others following on from earlier dances ...

Theknacktoflying, that's a good idea. I also wonder if it'd work for them to give two scores, adding up to one overall score –one for technical merit and one for entertainment/style/whatever they wanted to call it.

Actually - that rings a bell. I was relying on my memory and it's not the best. But Penny was SHITE and Gabby/Louise was AMAZING!

Watching ITT, Kate really sad to be leaving. She is just a stunning looking woman. Looking back on her dances she had struggled in a few. That Samba was a shocker, but she had some real highlights too. Jessica Rabbit being a standout. I’ll miss Aliaz bless him

They should just get rid of judges for the final two & have the audience decide. Someone told me they do that for the live tours unlesss they were telling porkies.

It was Penny Lancaster v Gabby Logan in the dance off and the judges saved Penny (not at all because Rod was in the audience oh no, no, no and due to sing on SCD the following week).

Thank you - I knew there was some nepotism going on but couldn't recall the details.

Penny was RUBBISH! - Just strutted round in her cowboy boots* and didn't dance a step!

*I may be thinking of Coyote Ugly. I know it's only Monday but it's been a looooong week.
