I quite like this bit with Monk's insecurities but I'm not really sure of the relevance. It's a bit of a fill in - like when Brains had a meltdown about his parents' divorce.

Oh here comes CJ again. It would have been very easy for him to sit down on the bed next to her and offer some comfort so at least he did keep his side of the bargain (this time anyway).

Here she goes arguing with authority again, but Charlie has already overstepped the boundary and that's why she doesn't truly respect his authority any more and he can't really tell her off.

Not sure they'd call Kingy 'Sir' - surely they'd just respond 'Sergeant'. I though 'Sir ' was reserved for officers.
