Anyone watching?

It’s already annoying me. Maggie is no more pregnant.... so it’s been a couple of weeks max then? Unless she’s had the baby?

Magair think it might be just me and you watching and I’m struggling to keep going?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 08/10/2018 21:37

Hello! Room for another? 😊

Awww, Maggie and Ezilekiel!

ismellsnow · 08/10/2018 21:40

I think she's had the baby, she said she had to get home to Hershel (assume baby named after her Dad)

Magair · 08/10/2018 21:40

Oh yes Maggie, has had a baby, ok less annoying.

Think there has been a jump ahead in time.
I lost the plot last season and didn’t watch it all. So far this episode is better, we’ll see!

Magair · 08/10/2018 21:43

Funeral singer.... Maggie’s new love interest?

Jesus and Aaron will be a new couple

Ontheboardwalk · 08/10/2018 21:44

tellmewhen welcome there is plenty of room on the thread.

Horses are a noisy mode of transport are they not?

Magair · 08/10/2018 21:44

Just realised i basically only care about the relationships...

SleepingBooty · 08/10/2018 21:44

It's an 18m time jump

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 08/10/2018 21:49

You'd think in that time Darryl would have found a bar of Imperial Leather while on a supply run

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 08/10/2018 21:49

Thanks Ontheboardwalk!
Agree about horses and they're v skittish too

Magair · 08/10/2018 21:50

His filthiness is wilful and deliberate. It was hot back at the farm, but no more.

It's got a bit too Mr Twit Confused

DontOpenDeadInside · 08/10/2018 21:56

I think (hope) this season is going to be much better with the new showrunner. If it continues with this quality I'll be happy.

Magair · 08/10/2018 21:59

I love the show but I do wonder where it can go now

OP posts:
Magair · 08/10/2018 22:05

The lack of dogs is totally unrealistic. Humans have been living with dogs for tens of thousands of years.

OP posts:
tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 08/10/2018 22:12

Magair just realised I've never noticed the dogs, your right.

Baby Herschel is v cute, especially sad considering the news yesterday 😢

It's definitely brewing up for some Bad Stuff to happen very soon, I think it may get good again!

StormyLovesOdd · 08/10/2018 22:43

What was in the news yesterday, I missed it.

StormyLovesOdd · 08/10/2018 22:46

Thought this episode started really well, lots of zombies and I was on the edge of my seat when The King was dangling from the rope but after that i got a bit bored. Still watched it all though, I think Maggie is playing with fire

SleepingBooty · 08/10/2018 23:30

Stormy, the Actor who played Herschel died over the weekend.

StripySocksAndDocs · 08/10/2018 23:43

Where have all the animals come from? Loads of horses and birds!

Thought they'd all been eaten.

bandthenjust · 08/10/2018 23:49

Arrrrrgggh why did I click on this thread?! Just seen 'TWD' and I've spoilt it all for myself lol. The last season I watched (can't even remember what number it was), Negan had just tried to take over Ricks' place again? And the tiger had ran at him? My memory is terrible

HandsOffMyRights · 08/10/2018 23:51

It's back to nature, so all God's creatures.

Love the opening credits - all animation.

The evolution of man scene was fun.

Wouldn't it have just been easier to borrow a plough and cart from a neigbouring farm?

I feel uneasy when Rick's around horses - they always get eaten.

An enjoyable first episode. It needed to move on and I'm enjoying seeing the grass growing over, the zombies decaying more and the beards getting longer and greyer.

Deadringer · 09/10/2018 10:59

The Walkers all seem ancient, as they should be I suppose. I don't understand why that glass floor was so flimsy, surely it was built to withstand a huge amount of traffic/weight? I half watched it, just delighted there was no sign of Negan, sick of the sight of him!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 09/10/2018 11:33

I enjoyed it lots of things other posters have mentioned like the idea that nature is reclaiming the planet, great scene of the Washington Capitol building covered on moss! The opening credits were good too, it really feels like a fresh start. I wasn't sure if the time hop would feel like a cop out but maybe it was needed to drag us to a new perspective? Like others I have always loved the show but really feels it had lost its way over the last few series.

One thought - clearly under the surface many people are not altogether happy with the new leadership and we saw the pro-Negan graffiti...surely in 18 months if a rebellion of some sort was going to happen it would have by now?

Agree that Maggie is following a dangerous path.

Is it me or is this thread quiet?!

Till next time Smile!
