Anyone watching?

It’s already annoying me. Maggie is no more pregnant.... so it’s been a couple of weeks max then? Unless she’s had the baby?

OP posts:
NormaLouiseBates · 09/10/2018 13:02

It was a very promising start in my opinion, I really enjoyed it.

Baby Rhee was adorable.

Thank fuck smarmy Gregory has gone, I hated his character.

NormaLouiseBates · 09/10/2018 13:03

When they were trying to get that wagon down the steps.

TWD Season 9 UK pace.....
saoirse31 · 09/10/2018 13:17

Thought it was good, bit sad when Daryl said he wouldn't go to Alexandria...tho understandable..

StormyLovesOdd · 09/10/2018 13:21

NormalLouise - Love it Grin

I think the floor broke because the zombie the speared went through the zombie and the floor then it couldn't take all the weight because it was already damaged. I suppose not many farms would have a horse drawn plough nowadays, most of them have tractors and they don't have the fuel to power those.

Agreed this thread is zombie quiet ...

Deadringer · 09/10/2018 15:54

You are probably right about the floor stormy. I did wonder if they could just knock up a few basic wagons, there's lots of wood about. But I am probably being overly picky.

Willow2017 · 10/10/2018 20:35

Well i loved it. Just got to.watch it as have had no internet.
Its a whole new era but they still have problems with people amd walkers never mind trying to rebuild civilisation😀

Loved all the 1:1 character scenes.
Am so glad Gregory got his comeuppance at last. My blood pressure goes up everytime he opens his mouth. Should have happened after he betrayed them to Negan.
Yes the spear weakened the glass first. Thought that scene was done well was on the edge of my seat😀

Daryl is trying to tell Rick he is wrong and cant fix everything at once but he aint listening. Him going to Hilltop was a huge statement.

Next weeks looks good too. I think.its going to be a good series.

darkblu · 12/10/2018 09:55

Just found this thread and so glad I did. Not many people I know are watching it anymore. I wasn't sure on this ep, I got a bit bored... I would like to see some peace and some new ideas. If it just goes to the saviours fighting them AGAIN, then I am done. So sick of that!
Glad Gregory got his comeuppance!

@tellmewhenthespaceshiplands lol GrinGrin

Torvi · 12/10/2018 12:00

I'm in. I quite enjoyed it.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 12/10/2018 13:08

Anyone watched Cargo on Netflix yet? I did earlier in the week and enjoyed it even though it's Martin Freeman!. An uplifting (kind of) ending which is unusual with this genre.

8dayweek · 12/10/2018 14:02

I've got really mixed feelings about this episode. I'm glad it's back, despite getting bored last season.

I don't get why they were suddenly so jumpy around a handful of walkers despite most of the original lot having fell into a bucket of them at some point and come out unscathed?!

I still think some of Hilltop have that naive, sheltered thing like the chap who died's Mum - maybe I'm a cow but I think if I were Maggie it would wear thin pretty quick and I'd be happy for them to pack up, piss off and do better elsewhere. Disclaimer: I'm poorly and hungry right now

No idea why Gregory was even still alive TBH, and although I agree he had to go, I do think Maggie has rather opened a can of worms. It was maybe a bit rash and undiplomatic

Daryl, Rick, Maggie etc dynamic is going to be interesting this season. I think it's got promise!

Oh, and can anyone who has read the comics tell me why the whisperers plot will be difficult without Carl? Or point me in the direction of somewhere that will explain it.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 12/10/2018 14:12

8dayweek "undiplomatic" Grin

StormyLovesOdd · 12/10/2018 16:03

I've not read all the comics but I have read on different forums that Carl is a major character in the future stories his character takes the lead alongside Rick. Lots of fans think Carl represents the future so without him what's the point.

Don't want to give away too much on here and can't do links but if you go to comicbook.com/thewalkingdead/2018/01/01/the-walking-dead-skip-the-whisperers/ there's a good article explaining why the whisperers storyline is difficult without Carl.

StormyLovesOdd · 12/10/2018 16:04

Oooh my link worked Smile

8dayweek · 13/10/2018 22:18

Thanks @StormyLovesOdd I'll give it a look. I do think I read ahead (so to speak) ages ago when I was hooked, but it's clearly fell out of my head. I've also seen lots Fan Theories (not really sure what else to call them 🤔) that talked about Carl being the pivotal character, that the story is being told from his POV, that he is symbolic of the future etc etc

Ontheboardwalk · 15/10/2018 22:10

Anyone watching tonight??

MouseRatFan · 15/10/2018 22:13

Father Gabriel is smooth with all his talk of shagging frogs.... 😂
Helicopter?

bluetrees · 15/10/2018 22:25

I thought it was a drone not a helicopter.

MouseRatFan · 15/10/2018 22:28

Oh that's a good shout. I am really interested for the lady with the creepy twins to come back on and give us a insight to the rest of society.

StormyLovesOdd · 15/10/2018 22:29

Really enjoyed tonight's episode, so the helicopter wasn't a mistake then, looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

Poor Aaron and his arm, I was really wincing and watching through my fingers.

I worry about Carol, she's too happy, something bass gonna happen.

Anyone watching Talking Dead - god I'm so jealous of Jesus hair, it's gorgeous, swishy and shiny.

MouseRatFan · 15/10/2018 22:34

Jesus has the best hair! What do they use as conditioner in the apocalypse I wonder!

StormyLovesOdd · 15/10/2018 22:37

I'd probably get mistaken for a walker with my greasy lank locks, I'm buggered if I can't use my hairdryer

Ontheboardwalk · 15/10/2018 23:01

Jesus needs to share his shampoo rations with Daryl

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 15/10/2018 23:21

The dialogue in this episode is painfully badly written Sad

StripySocksAndDocs · 16/10/2018 13:56

Do you think Aaron is to be Ricks replacement as main character? Now he's lost his arm in Ricks stead. (im a terrible person, I actually laughed at the way he suddenly said "what" in response to "it has to be amputated" - not at all due to the actual amputation but they way it was said)

MouseRatFan · 16/10/2018 14:37

That's a good point stripy.
I also laughed, it was a terrible episode for dialogue.
I reckon the guy at the end recognised the attacker because it was a whisperer wearing a walker/saviour skin.
