I liked Jasmine (yellow dress) , she was very eloquent in her speaking , only thing is she should have insisted on sorting things out in the first place instead of letting the others get their own way.

The woman who was in charge of the sub team seemed OK - at least she was prepared to open her mouth and acknowledge what Jackie had been up to.

Jackie is a snake in the grass and Piercing looks strange, I cant take her seriously. Male actor has nothing to offer so will go , tax advisor in plum suit will be one to watch . The contestants seem to get worse year by year. Don't they watch previous episodes to see how it works?

I've never seen a more self absorbed, egotistical bunch.

Actually I could see actor lasting, Sugar sometimes likes someone a bit quirky, witness that inventor. Plus he's probably brilliant at blagging presentations and selling.

I do have some sympathy for the candidates as it seemed a fairly tough task - buying products in an unfamiliar country with a team you've never met before. The buying task is usually a couple of tasks in and in London so candidates have some idea where to try for items. The task was held in Dubai once, but then both PMs were familiar with Dubai. Also, there are almost certainly some production issues we're unaware of that complicate the task. E.g. in a previous buying task, a candidate was fired for failing to buy a tyre. But she said she'd found several places to buy it but couldn't because they didn't have permission to film.

There are also decisions where I feel the candidates will be criticised whatever they do. AS said that the girls' PM could always have said no to doing it, but if she had he would probably have said she was a "shirker". Or the ferry trip to Gozo was a poisoned chalice - go and you almost certainly run out of time, don't go and he criticises you for not going. (Do they really not sell salt produced on Gozo anywhere on Malta?)

Not saying there weren't some idiot moments - lack of communication, buying the wine, octopus stretching etc. But I think the early episodes are deliberately set up to make cock ups very likely so viewers can sit back and feel smug about how idiotic the candidates are.

Also, someone mentioned using Google Translate. They aren't allowed to use the internet on this task so pretty sure that's not an option. The language barrier was a further difficulty on this task.

If you enjoy pondering over the production team give the Netflix series Unreal a go. It is probably the best show I have seen recently. It's about the production team making a fictional reality show called The Bachelor and has two female leads.

Of course it could be amazon prime, but one of them anyway. I promise you won't be disappointed and will never watch a reality show in the same way again.

Anyway. Back to The Apprentice. I watch this stuff with my 12 year old and his level of scorn and disgust at the stupidity of the candidtates was much higher this year.

Even my 6yo was frowning at the screen and telling them to stop arguing and get on with what they were supposed to be doing. Shame she doesn't follow her own advice at 8.20 on a school day...

Finally watched it, so glad they got rid of gob almighty, she would have driven them all mad.

As usual no one stands out, they probably won't either if last years is anything to go by but I'll still watch it every week.
