Ooh who's applying for the next series then? Not me in a month of Sundays

southeastdweller · 23/10/2018 21:14

So glad Briony's gone. Rahul wasn't great either but she was worse!

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 23/10/2018 21:14

It's the same here in the North East Graphista - must be the distance the images have to travel up the television wires.

MrBirlingsAwfulWife · 23/10/2018 21:14

Really sad that Briony has gone but right decision sadly. But what a gracious exit.
Take note Paul knobhead.

ApolloandDaphne · 23/10/2018 21:14

I am in Scotland and seemed to be keeping up time wise.

DH has just told me to get my name in, but although I am obviously of a high enough standard to ace the competition it would be both unfair on other applicants who would quite honestly, just be marking time until I picked up my trophy, and also unfair to me, as I would be spending my twilight years in Holloway after ramming a food mixer up Paul's ignorant arse.

Graphista · 23/10/2018 21:17

I'm watching on tablet so maybe old style way to go

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 23/10/2018 21:18

Oh, bloody hell! Another crappy "reality" show.

NOT IN THIS HOUSE!

Smellybears · 23/10/2018 21:18

Didn’t Ruby announce the winner by mistake on social media the other day? She then deleted her post, I haven’t seen who the winner is, but I’m very suprised the daily fail hasn’t made a massive thing of it and spoilt it for us all!!

FuzzyCustard · 23/10/2018 21:18

I hope the aforementioned food mixture would be on full power whisking before the shove, schady?

whatashower · 23/10/2018 21:19

This will forever be remembered as the one when my overwhelming desire for a millefeuille was rapidly transplanted by a need for a strong G&T. Hope Briony is the one that makes a quiet but fabulous success of her tv exposure ❤️

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 23/10/2018 21:20

It would Fuzzy

I would probably get DH to turbocharge it. just to be on the safe side. I don't want to inflict anything trivial . . .

costacoffeecup · 23/10/2018 21:23

Ruby did give the winner away but by private message and the person who tricked her (by pretending to be sandy) says he won't tell. Sneaky.

whatashower · 23/10/2018 21:26

@schaden @fuzzy
The full power mixer would have to circumnavigate the two aebleskiver pans already inserted by me

New thread, ready for next week...

MaryLennoxsScowl · 23/10/2018 21:32

Fucking Kim Joy and her ‘now we’ve all had 2 Star Bakers’ (= ‘Ruby’s no better than me’). Plus Rahul should have been out last week.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/10/2018 21:33

I’m surprised none of you are thinking of poisoning him.

OP posts:
VanillaSugary · 23/10/2018 21:36

But..... more importantly...

Who is going to apply for next year?

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 23/10/2018 21:41

Came on to say Paul is a fucking mean, egotistical, evil twat. If I'd been slogging away for five hours in that fucking tent I'd have been hard pushed not to lean over and deck the fucker. Horrible atmosphere, not what gbbo should be about :(

PrincessOnTheInternet · 23/10/2018 21:47

@TakeMeDownToPotatoCity agree x100!

whatashower · 23/10/2018 21:47

takemedown I think you will find this thread agrees with you given that Paul is now sporting 2 baking trays and a live mixer up his rectum 🤣 (in our dreams)

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 23/10/2018 21:57

I’m surprised none of you are thinking of poisoning him

fleas - I would thing that has been tried many, many times, but having developed an immunity to poison from eating his own baking, he is pretty much safe.

Butterymuffin · 23/10/2018 22:34

It is increasingly frustrating to see them given nowhere near enough time to do the set challenge, and then for Paul the judges to complain that they didn't do a good job due to running out of time. The final won't be any different. I expect them to be told to produce a sourdough loaf in ninety minutes.

Either way we’re going to need a new judge...
