OP posts:
whatatod0 · 21/10/2018 22:04

so which house was it?

whatatod0 · 21/10/2018 22:05

was it their rental house?

LuluJakey1 · 21/10/2018 22:06

How could the baby be under the floor in a newly built house?

Fabpinky · 21/10/2018 22:06

It was a house built on the construction site that they kept showing.

Anyone else hate Alistair but also find him sexy?

WidowTwonky · 21/10/2018 22:07

When he went to bury Noah he was at a building site. So he chose that house for them to live to be close to him

Friolero · 21/10/2018 22:07

"The whole two different medicines in the same type of bottle thing is a load of crap. It just would not happen"

In the book, they couldn't take the medicines through airport security so had to go back and buy 50ml bottles to decant them into, hence the mix up.

LuluJakey1 · 21/10/2018 22:08

It was a newly built house for sale, not their rental house. How did Alistair put the baby there?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/10/2018 22:08

I feel a bit disappointed that jo didn't tell the police everything, surely that would be the best justice for noah?

Overall I've enjoyed it though, good story and well acted.

whatatod0 · 21/10/2018 22:09

had they bought the new build house then?

Aridane · 21/10/2018 22:09

What was with the daughter holding a picture of Noah outside the court?

WidowTwonky · 21/10/2018 22:09

lulu he buried him there whilst it was being constructed

Aridane · 21/10/2018 22:10

And the ‘justice for Noah’ campaign, was that because they thought the mother was a murderer? Confused

Clawdy · 21/10/2018 22:10

Why did the new build house have a complete nursery in one of the bedrooms?

Floppyspanielears · 21/10/2018 22:12

@clawdy it was s show home

Dulra · 21/10/2018 22:12

It was a newly built house for sale, not their rental house. How did Alistair put the baby there? the house was being built when he buried noah. It was 7 months later when they viewed it finished

Not sure what I thought of this. We know by the end how vile alisdair was but I have no sense of who joanna was i also have no idea how she can move on after what happened to noah and her part in the deception and also after killing alisdair. Yes he was horrible but did she really have a reason to murder him Confused

Optimist1 · 21/10/2018 22:12

Because the house was partially built when Alastair took the baby's body to bury it. It was definitely shown in a scene at that time. He probably thought it was much less likely that the body would be discovered there. Bastard.

whatatod0 · 21/10/2018 22:15

And she bought the house a year+ later?

IAmBeyonceAlways · 21/10/2018 22:16

The big thing with her having 2 sides in the first 2 episodes was never explained fully was it? Or was it just so obvious that it didnt need to be - she showed 2 faces - grieving mother and guilty party?

Clawdy · 21/10/2018 22:16

He always had a picture of Jo and Noah on his phone, and in a way still had both of them together on his phone. In his own twisted way, he loved them both.

Wingedharpy · 21/10/2018 22:18

The way I saw it was that Noah's body was burried before the foundations to the house were laid.
So, when the concrete was poured for the foundations, that became his final resting place.
Justice for Noah was brought about by killing the individual responsible for his death.
Alistair's coaching enabled her to get away with his murder.
I really enjoyed it and was gripped from start to finish.

Janus · 21/10/2018 22:18

And she could just move to Australia?
I can see why she wanted to murder him though. Not sure that house would still be for sale all that time later. Or that they’d keep the 2 medicines, I’d have got rid of mine and bought bloody paracetamol. All a bit daft!

Mamia15 · 21/10/2018 22:18

As a show house it would be the last to sell....

cadburyegg · 21/10/2018 22:19

I am confusing the house that he is buried in with the one that they stayed in!

burnoutbabe · 21/10/2018 22:20

That whole bottle thing seemed like an accident waiting to happen so I felt she was not at all justified to kill him and no hurrah that she got away with it. It could have happened to either of them.

thecatsthecats · 21/10/2018 22:22

She didn't want justice though. She wanted to be near her baby. That's what she wanted all along - she begged him again and again.

I must admit part of what I was expecting was a much older Joanna being released from prison and going to find the place her baby was buried. I didn't expect the turn around to use what Alastair taught her to get what she wanted.
