I'm behind on extra slice need to catch up.

I love ginger too. Crystallised ginger dipped in dark chocolate is lush! No scots in the tent though so there won't be any PROPER gingerbread squares icing topped 😉 plus we can confuse people by saying we're having gingerbread with ginger 😂 meaning gingerbread slice and (FULL SUGAR) fizzy pop to wash it down - as it should be

Karen was kidding herself last week saying about the retro aspect of blancmange that she "was a child" in the 70's! In such a way as to imply a small child - which would make her closer to my age (46) She's 60!

I did order angel delight pots in my grocery shop inspire by the blancmange - not nice, not nearly enough sugar in! The demonisation of sugar in bought products especially is REALLY starting to piss me off! Though honestly it jumped the shark when they changed irn bru😡

"Double departure for sure tonight." Yep I think so too. And whatever judges say they ARE influenced by previous weeks failures - like when juries are told to "disregard" inadmissible outbursts in court! As if people can just decide to forget a negative factor affecting judgment!

Fuzzycustard - my gran used to do a version of ginger slices like a cross with lemon drizzle - ginger sponge topped with lemon drizzle icing - yummy!

Our chair is a lovely lady in her 80's Fuzzy. She has chaired nd minuted for the last eight centuries, constantly complains that it is too much for her and she hasn't got the time, and clings like Grim Death to the job.

I'm a superb "minuter", and am itching to get my hands on the task (just so people will know who has agreed to do what) but she won't hear of anyone else taking over, as she "knows where everything is" (!).

She's very kind and it gives her great joy, but is very frustrating sometimes.

I’m just joining in to say that Dan reminds me of my huffy pre teen

Graphista · 25/09/2018 20:20

Prue got tangled with the toddler toys - those 'move the bead along the wire' ones

She also appears to be wearing the canvas off an old deckchair.

FuzzyCustard · 25/09/2018 20:20

graphista that sounds very excellent. (Send cake now)

I am loving the use of the word "claggy"..twice already tonight.

Elderflower14 · 25/09/2018 20:20

Can't wait for Karen to go... So bloody annoying!!!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 20:20

Taffeta · 25/09/2018 20:21

Rahul is just SO sweet ❤️

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 20:21

I noticed the "clergy" - as far as I am aware it is a North East expression

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 20:22

*Claggy, not clergy, you bastard autocorrect

alwayswingingit · 25/09/2018 20:22

I think Paul is giving out these handshakes too easily!

AngeloMysterioso · 25/09/2018 20:22

Karen and Dan are pissing me off now.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 20:23

Feel a bit sorry for Dan, but never mind he got an undeserved star baker last week.

Wolfcub · 25/09/2018 20:23

Handshake tart , he’s giving them out all over

Bubblysqueak · 25/09/2018 20:23

Is PH being paid per handshake?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 20:23

The BITCH! She's shovelling her own cake down her neck and she isn't fat!

AngeloMysterioso · 25/09/2018 20:23

Paul's become a right handshake hussy isn't he?! He's giving everybody one...

bookbook · 25/09/2018 20:24

so, I agree - rum isn't a ginger cake!

DH obviously realised I was not over keen on his offer of an eccles cake -

Wolfcub · 25/09/2018 20:25

Paul is just taking the piss now

FuzzyCustard · 25/09/2018 20:25

I thought "Claggy" was Yorkshire? That's where I got it from anyway. (but love "clergy! as an autocorrect!)

I am warming to KimJoy.

No idea what this challenge is about. At all. But can Karen make a Bakewell one?

Igottastartthinkingbee · 25/09/2018 20:25

3 handshakes for the ginger cakes!

Wow Dan hadn’t bothered me till this week.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 20:26

So - these mamuls (?) are effectively a Middle Eastern Eccles cakes bookbook

Would your DH agree.
