I think there's meant to be a season 2?

I really liked the Nadia angle too. I got it about 5 mins before when they were wondering who knew about slash Dave's kids.

QuaterMiss · 23/09/2018 22:22

My God. That was too exciting.

Totally brilliant! Particularly Nadia’s evil smirk.

Biologifemini · 23/09/2018 22:23

Nadia was an engineer and no one knew this before? How slack were the police?

Mrsmadevans · 23/09/2018 22:24

So glad it was a happy ending.
Just about the most fantastic series l think l have ever seen.
Jed deserves to be knighted.

BuntyII · 23/09/2018 22:24

How cute was it at the end though when he said mummys coming too 😭

The sudden Nadya personality change was a bit 'and it was all a dream' Confused

VanGoghsDog · 23/09/2018 22:24

I thought it was clever.

The ss was simply trying to cover up PM indiscretions, Slash got caught up in all that inadvertently.

RainbowsArePretty · 23/09/2018 22:25

I tensed up as much as David!

QuaterMiss · 23/09/2018 22:25

(Although. They would have known she was an engineer. It might have been considered relevant - surely? Hmm )

OhFlipMama · 23/09/2018 22:25

SO glad the car didn't explode. We were braced for it!

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 23/09/2018 22:26

I feel a bit let down

VanGoghsDog · 23/09/2018 22:26

I think they didn't do much investigation into Nadya, they just assumed (well, she nodded when they asked if her husband had set the bomb) she was a victim. They were being PC.

emmamehimandthem · 23/09/2018 22:26

elderflower that’s exactly what me and DH we’re saying when they got in the car

Whatthefoxgoingon · 23/09/2018 22:27

What kind of bomb maker either

a) puts a bomb on themselves hence ending her bomb making career

Or

b) confesses for no reason when she’s got the police convinced she’s a victim, hence again ending her bomb making career!

It makes absolutely no sense and is a twist just for the sake of it. Idiotic ending!

BabySharkAteMyHamster · 23/09/2018 22:27

Nadia !!

The little witch !!!!!!!!!!!

Fairylea · 23/09/2018 22:28

I thought the house would explode at the end. And then when it didn’t I thought the car would. Grin

I guessed the bomb maker from the first episode. I said it to my husband. The BBC did another drama a while back with a similar storyline where the woman turned out to be the main bomber.

DickensianHysteric · 23/09/2018 22:29

What happened to Tom?
And who was the person in the window at Craddock's house?!!

colouringinpro · 23/09/2018 22:29

Liked the female baddies Grin

I was dreading a sniper taking out Vicky at the end! So glad of the happy ending!

DeRigueurMortis · 23/09/2018 22:30

Am I the only one thinking that was a bit of a let down?

Most of it was him strapped to a bomb.

Also the reason Craddock was able to use him as a patsy was because she could promote him after the train incident. What if he hadn't been on the train?

Not entirely clear on how the criminals got the bomb from Nadia either....what was the link there?

Tbh some of the theories posted on here were better than the actual ending.

Bearbehind · 23/09/2018 22:30

After all the hype I've watched all 6 episodes over the last few days and genuinely don't see what the fuss was about. It's so unrealistic. For staters.

  • why did the female officer in charge on the train in the first episode go in all guns blazing
  • why was there sod all protocol when disarming Nadias vest
  • why did David reverse the car to the building where the sniper was and the sniper didn't notice
  • how was he ever allowed in that building by himself
  • why did David have to search every property the Home Secretary went to when there was someone on the door everytime
  • how did the bloke on the door not hear them shagging
  • how did his wife manage to run into the middle of the square when he had the bomb vest on.
  • why did the female Muslim character have to be stereotyped as the bomber

What an absolute crock of shit.

Seriously. How can people think this was any good?

Aridane · 23/09/2018 22:30

Agree, whatthefox!

Clawdy · 23/09/2018 22:31

The happy ending was a twist in its own way! So used to grim shocking denouements.

Tika77 · 23/09/2018 22:31

Please BBC don’t make a season 2. I want 6 hours of my time back.

Hepzibar · 23/09/2018 22:31

Loved it but the Nadia 'Scooby Doo' ending? Really? She would have gotten away with it 'it wasn't for that pesky Budd'! That was a total cop out and like he'd run out of time (and ideas).
