U and I both say things on this thread which are maybe more to the point than others. If that makes sense. and I use the f word a lot in real life, as do most people I know. So I'm with Hardeep there. 😳

Yeah I think it gets lost in translation with Hardeep not saying he isn't a pain in arse because he probably is sometimes

Fred Macaulay does a brilliant sketch where he talks about "fucking" being used as punctuation in Scotland and also to emphasise how strongly you feel.
He was at a football match once and the guy behind him was complaining about the referee's decision, and shouted "fucking.... boooo" 😂

I used to like Hardeep on The Wright Stuff and as a broadcaster on R4. He seemed measured, intelligent and funny. In the house he is coming across as arrogant and petulant. I have a suspicion that he has decided they are intellectually inferior to him and of no use to his future career so isn’t bothering to mind his manners or choose his words carefully.
I also think he is peeved that the very minor celebrity he enjoys in his everyday life is not regarded as important in the house so no one is deferring to him.

I would have enjoyed it more if Nick and Hardeep had stuck to a grumpy old man double act.
Hardeep's brother is Navid in Still Game. It's a similar waspish type of humour.

Even if he is intellectually superior, I don't think that gives him the right to treat others like they're not equals! He looks down on everyone. Intelligence shouldn't be the only reason to respect others. If he's as liberal as he claims to be then he should be tolerant of people from all backgrounds and levels of IQ, not ridicule/belittle them.

I think the postage stamp comment was crossing a line, i can totally see why Gabby would feel uncomfortable about him making comments about how little clothing she's wearing, especially given his "inappropriate behaviour" history and the fact that a few of the people actually living in the house said they found him to be creepy with the younger women.

The comments about the bunions were misplaced given that he doesn't have a close relationship with Sally to bring it up. It's quite personal IMO drawing attention to defects on a person, even if it is only feet. I get embarrassed by my hard skinned feet and would hate for someone I am not very friendly with to draw attention to it!

That's because they are. I'd stick pokers in my ears if I had to listen to Gabby, Dan, Sally and Ryan 24/7 for weeks.

Hardeep is a hard one to read sometimes I think he knows full well his comments will offend and upset, sometimes I think he just gets thing that bit wrong, and sometimes I think people use him as a convenient bad guy/shared enemy. I don't think he his completed one thing or another. He is not totally innocent!

He is intellectually above most of the housemates I think but so is nick and he isn't an arsehole.

I love how Nick doesn't get drawn into all the nonsense, he just stays pals with everyone.

There's something on the daily fail website about Gabby and Dan flirting more tonight. Seems they are letting their guard down more. I'm not sure they have slept with each other but I wouldn't be surprised if the rumours about them stemmed from them flirting lots on the bootcamp thing they did. The DF Also mentions that she's considering surgery to look prettier, which actually made me notice for the first time that she is very natural looking compared to other 'celebs' of her ilk. I hope she doesn't. IMO being natural actually makes her stand out from the reality tv crowd

I agree, I think she's pretty and I like her having shorter hair than most celebs too. On Love Island she kept saying she'd get a boob job when she left Majorca, but I don't think she ever did that x

She did have low self esteem it seemed on love island she always felt the least attractive from memory. I think she's very pretty As she is!! I just think she has tried to hard to put an image forward she had come across as bland!

Re Gabby and Dan, wasn't Gabby really appalled that Jermaine was married and flirting with Chloe? I remember her sitting there and saying disgustedly "but you're married!!" and then getting up and walking off annoyed. If that's her viewpoint, maybe she didn't sleep with Dan, as he was married.

Dan, on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised that he cheated as he seems to think of women as his "things" rather than people.
