Noeuf - it is sad that she was alone but you could see the heartbreak in those search and rescue team members.

I meant the body bag/outline of a corpse shots. I don't think everything has to be shown to get a sense of it.

I don't know why they had to show her lying on the ground through the fence. That was not nice for her. I guess her family would have known it was coming? I hope so.

I was left wondering if she went there to pass on. The area obviously held special memories of her husband, and she looked like a woman on a mission to get somewhere and not like a lost old lady.
Not suggesting she suffered suicide, more like she just knew it was time to go. I like to think so.

Isn't this a amazing series? It's captivating to watch. I think it's filmed really well.
There are some very sad stories though.

Whose was that blood on the path though?

Last night's was heartbreaking but it was lovely hearing how much she meant to her friends. Her poor son.

I like this programme but I can't help thinking that even though it is Reality TV it is still out to spin things out for an hour and that they don't always do the obvious thing as it would spoil the drama somehow. Someone asked about the blood - could have been anyone's, was put in to create a bit more drama. I thought they dealt with finding the body of Jean very well, she wasn't shown at all as far as I could see.

What a terrible ending. Somehow I felt sure she'd be found alive. There was a story last series where an old man turned up alive. He'd fallen down an embankment. Seeing how people pulled together to search for her does make me feel a little bit more optimistic about the world. Some days recently I've felt people are becoming selfish and nasty. The search party looked devastated.
My dm died at home and while I was angry in many ways, it was a great comfort to know she died where she would have wanted. That poor lady didn't deserve that ending. May she rest in peace.

@Catrina1234 they showed part of her body through the fence, lying on the ground, and also her outline in a body bag being lifted on a stretcher.

It does show the efforts the police make
Those search and rescue people too were amazing. At least it shows there are good people around.

I watched last series and have watched this series so far...
caught up on last nights today's and it was devastating...
I don't understand why they showed her body through the fence tho?

And whose was the blood?

I just hope it was discussed with the family first.

I didn’t like the body through the fence shot either. I felt that was unnecessary.

What a sad ending. We suspected she had died from how all her friends and family were talking, but held out hope she would be found alive.

Superb programme, though.

I also hope the son was asked about the body shot but I found this really compelling and interesting. It is always heartwarming to see people totally unselfishly out looking for a total stranger. RIP Jean x

First thing I thought about blood is it could have been animal, not human. Or if it was human could have been as a result of a fight
