X FACTOR 2018- **SAT Sept 1st 8pm** it really IS that time of year again! There are new judges, probably a format and it's Saturday night (and the occasional Sunday) sorted until December :-)

I have just been reminded it starts this weekend- I'm in denial.

I'm not sure about the new judges. I think I will miss Nicole. Maybe not Louis. But we have a New Replacement Louis. I don't like Robbie Williams, and having his wife there might be a mistake.

So- first thread of the year. I will be back when I have had a proper look at what is happening this weekend.

I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of Robbie but I do like a few of his songs. Wouldn’t go looking for them but have heard them growing up and like them enough. I don’t anything about his personal life for instance. But, I did like him singing with that guy, I don’t even care if he did it for himself it made a fan happy and you could see he was loving it, that even if he didn’t go through he just buzzin about his experience. I can’t be annoyed by someone’s pure happiness. Made me smile.

Christ, Louis makes everyone else on the panel look like an ugly old ogre next to him.

And Robbie makes him look really articulate

Trouble is... already after half an hour, it turns it into the Robbie and Ayda show. Is he going to sing every week?!

Was out last night so just watching it right now, looking forward to reading all your comments!

Robbie will become to X Factor, what J-Hud is on the Voice. She finds any excuse to make it about her, and of course, get up and sing! .
Never had this problem with Sharon and Louis, and never appreciated how lucky we were.

I did wonder if Robbie had said he'd only appear with Ayda on the panel, too.

Can't believe that woman singing Dreamer, what a voice! Am actually loving this show so far. Even without wine!

I just caught the end and cringed my way through the Angels duet. And the self-congratulatory group hug at the end. It was shit. I hate the audience hype. Much prefer the room auditions. Can't stand Robbie and his wife.

I think it was fun. Previous seasons have become dull and boring, lacking in energy. RW gets to show off, Louis is cute(ish) Simon is just Simon and Ayda if just there because Robbie wants her I expect.

The only way to enjoy it is to not take it seriously

We take the piss out of the ads too, Pavlovian, often including the ones were not actually watching. It's fun in a cathartic way.

Oh, yes- sometimes the ads are the best bit

Won't be long before we can await the coming of the John Lewis Christmas Ad.

Oh yes, and we hate the M&S ads too, usually.
