X FACTOR 2018- **SAT Sept 1st 8pm** it really IS that time of year again! There are new judges, probably a format and it's Saturday night (and the occasional Sunday) sorted until December :-)

I have just been reminded it starts this weekend- I'm in denial.

I'm not sure about the new judges. I think I will miss Nicole. Maybe not Louis. But we have a New Replacement Louis. I don't like Robbie Williams, and having his wife there might be a mistake.

So- first thread of the year. I will be back when I have had a proper look at what is happening this weekend.

Ayda is apparently an actor called Ayda Field who made the brave decision to change her name to Robbie Williams' Wife and go on tv with him.

I thought all the panel were awful. Why on earth is Robbie's annoying wife there? She has zero experience in the music industry. I'm not a big fan of Sharon Osbourne but she did have credentials. Even Dani Minogue was far better than Ayda!

MsMia they keep changing it- for a few years, they stopped the room auditions, and did these 'arena' BGT style things- and they are awful.

Then they went back to the room ones, with a 'second' arena one.

The room ones are much better .

I used to like Dani too. She'd been in the industry from a very early age and, in my opinion, had earned the right to be there as a judge. I also thought she was a good judge and gave some intelligent comments and was interesting to watch. Ayda, on the other hand, has no experience in the music industry and has little in the way of personality. Without meaning to sound too serious, she now has a say in the future of aspiring singers, without any experience in the music industry herself. Robbie himself, if I remember rightly, said that he wouldn't have agreed to be on the panel without his wife there for support. That's the only reason she's there.
