Let’s get June out of there!

I agree inqui - there's no way she'll ever have a normal life again, so bringing down Gilead would be a be a very fitting life for her (once Hannah is free obviously).

WatermelonGold · 12/08/2018 22:52

Deax I hope they’re sent to the colonies rather than put on the wall, so they die a slow painful death. The commander that had the affair with Janine had his hand chopped off so they do punish the commanders.

CageyBee · 12/08/2018 22:52

Willow go in grace.

Roussette · 12/08/2018 22:52

Are you sure you aren't Cinderella .. Willow? That was exactly the words she used... or similar on the other thread (after she'd spoilt it for everyone else by posting the ending )

cavycavy · 12/08/2018 22:53

Can’t believe we have to wait a whole year.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 12/08/2018 22:53

If Aunt Lydia survives she'll either be diminished or back with a vengeance

NotTerfNorCis · 12/08/2018 22:53

Wow! I guess they couldn't end with June escaping. I wasn't sure if that was a credible twist though. Obviously she'd stayed to find her eldest daughter, but she's risking being sent to the Colonies or executed. Neither of those things are very likely - but only because she's the central character.

SisterMoonshine · 12/08/2018 22:54

I disagree that June could do more from the outside. It's not like her husband has been able to do anything - their hands are tied.
I see completely that she couldn't leave without Hannah.

FabulouslyFab · 12/08/2018 22:54

Phew - I was watching about half an hour behind and had to come on here to see the ending because I couldn’t bear the tension!

User5trillion · 12/08/2018 22:55

What I thought was telling, was during the scene in the kitchen when fred is suggesting june stays and has another baby, he says he can.break the rules. This is just moments after his wife has lost a finger for doing the same. He didn't seem to get the irony.

HannahnotAgnes · 12/08/2018 22:56

Watching on plus 1 - why doesn't Commander Lawrence at least tell Emily it'll be ok or show some kindness? She's in absolute fear for her life - he's obviously a bit twisted not to put her at ease.

cavycavy · 12/08/2018 22:56

i think she could potentially run to Commander Lawrence’s house and insist he hides her. She could reveal the truth about him freeing Emily after all. So he will hide her and they could work together.

WillowDogs · 12/08/2018 22:56

Why do I have to go exactly? I've done nothing wrong.

And Roussette did Cinderella also start out by trying to keep the peace? Have I also posted spoilers? No if my aim was to troll I would have, I too was enjoying the thread I just wanted to move it to a positive tone and instead have been frankly bullied by you all.

JustLikeBefore · 12/08/2018 22:57

WitchSharkadder Luke doesn't have the links that June has. The resistance are working from Canada, e.g. the the guy who met Serena and knew all about her. Nick is part of the resistance there would definitely be communications(messages past) between him and June, She wouldn't have got out and never hear from the resistance again.

CageyBee · 12/08/2018 22:57

I was thinking about if Nick escaped too and how it would operate between Nick, June and Luke and I think that Nick would honestly rather “lose” on the outside knowing he can see his daughter and be assured that June is safe, than try and be with June.

HannahnotAgnes · 12/08/2018 22:57

Willow, you're trying to make yourself a martyr now - please leave the rest of us in peace.

Roussette · 12/08/2018 22:57

For god's sake to you Willow. I don't know why you are deliberately being like this. If I haven't seen a programme, I avoid the thread or follow it in the timings as posted. i.e. I watch it on catch up, I look at for instance a 21.09 post when I watch it and I'm 9 minutes in! How can you not understand this? If you don't like it, get MNHQ to ban all Telly Addicts threads, because it's the same for Britains Got Talent, The Voice, sports threads, anything

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 12/08/2018 22:58

I think he's deluded about that.

Various Commanders are vying for June and her future is in Aunt Lydia's hands.

For them to have Baby 2 when others are still waiting would be highly improper, Aunt Lydia would never stand for that shit

Applesandpears23 · 12/08/2018 22:58

Wow - what an amazing episode. I was worried about what the baby would eat too! I think June should have gone but I understand the writers need a hook for another series. I felt proud of Serena for acting like a mother rather than putting her needs first. I also feel sorry for her that she took a stand, hoping that the men were reasonable and was betrayed and mutilated.

MazDazzle · 12/08/2018 22:58

I thought the same Hannah. He’s a creepy fucker. Surely a wee ‘don’t worry’ wouldn’t go amiss.

User5trillion · 12/08/2018 22:58

The music in the car seemed so jarring. I cant wait for series 3 but I hope its the last one.

NotTerfNorCis · 12/08/2018 22:58

He didn't seem to get the irony.

It's all about his personal power. In the first series we saw him going to Jezebels and inviting a woman to read. It's in his interests for other people (especially women) to obey the rules while he breaks them.

cavycavy · 12/08/2018 22:59

Hannah I think so if anyone stopped and questioned them en route she couldn’t reveal his true intentions. Safer that she still genuinely believed he was a real Gilieadian until the last minute.

MazDazzle · 12/08/2018 22:59

I doubt it will be User, I suspect they’ll milk it as long as there’s an audience for it. It’s all about making money!

WillowDogs · 12/08/2018 23:00

HannahNotAgnes I'm not being a martyr. I commented once on the thread saying that maybe we should all calm down. Ever since I've been jumped on by you all. Would you treat people this way in real life as it's vile.
