I agree on CLawrence. He likes music, he reads a lot, likes art, has a sense of humour, drinks, and is basically not a Gileadian (if there is such a word)

I think we'll learn a lot more about CL in season 3. There are so many unanswered questions there.

I also can't help but think that there's no way Serena would have let Nichole go if she thought for one minute that June wouldn't be going too. So we can expect fireworks if/when they meet again.

I’m wondering if the burning house was C Lawrence's and the charred remains of Aunt Lydia will be found in the ashes. A way of covering up her death at the same time.

Yes I know she wants to get Hannah out too, but surely she would have a better chance from the outside! there is network and it includes a high up commander and Nick, she would have managed. But now? where the fuck is she going go? all those marthes who risked there lives to get her out, aren't going to be there to sneak her back in. She can't just wander the streets back to the Waterford, she'd be caught and interrogated to find out how she got out about in the first place. Fred will crucify her if get hold of her.

I hate it when programme makers do things just to get another series out of it. They could have done a 3rd series they didn't need to write just white.

Loved the last episode and liked how the first season ended with June getting in the back of a van to who knows where, and the second season ended with her daughter doing the same.

It's things like this that I never would have noticed without this thread. The writing is so clever, and I loved the stark contrast with the pop style music against the backdrop of Gilead.

I can easily see how Commander Lawrence would be how he is - he came up with a great idea (everyone equal, no poverty, all working for the good of each other etc etc) & that has been sadistically twisted into something I recognisable - he plays the game in public because he has to but not behind closed doors. He's a supposedly great economist so is valuable to Gilead, therefore if anyone suspects any differently, then he has that to hide behind.

The podcast Eyes on Gilead has an interview with Ann Dowd ( Aunt Lydia ) who talks about her thoughts on the third series. Not listened to it but sounds interesting!
