When Lisa went out for a Chinese meal with Des on her birthday before " Xmas "she said that it was her 21st the year before, but when Des threw a Rose on her coffin it clearly stated she was 28

Really dont like Vera these days. It's funny how many characters aren't how you remember them when you rewatch it all these years later

Yeah she's really horrible thinks the sun shines out of Terry,s backside ,she mellows in later years I think.

x2boys I thought that about Lisa's age as well. She was young and naive so fell for Terry. She did talk about the big party at a posh hotel that her dad threw for her.

Vera is vicious, just poisonous. Wouldn't Lisa's parents have wanted to sit with her more in the hospital? It was very sad. Poor kid, I wouldn't wish Vera on anyone.

Tracey (Dawn Acton) is a better actress than I recall. Loving her digs at Deirdre. Alma is far too nice for Mike. Her eyes are amazing.

Yeah Vera is just totally obnoxious, I know what you mean about Dawn Acton Sapat, at the time for thought she was immature and a whiney teenager, but Tracy is exactly that ,apparently she auditioned for Tracy again when they were reintroducing her in the early 00,s but lost out to the current Tracy .

Did they actually show the episode where Lisa died? I saw her on the hospital bed then the next episode they were mourning her.

No I didn't marry him lol. We did go out for a bit, he had a very strange name and he had some very strange ideas lol, something me at 17 just didn't 'get'.
He was a nice bloke tho, but I think I terrified him at first!

Phyllis' shoulder pads

My mum once met Phyllis coming out of a lift in County Hall, Preston. She thought she knew her, so said hello. Apparently, Phyllis said hello back and gave her a beautiful smile. It seems like she was an all round lovely woman.

Tracey metclfe in Emmerdale puts me in mind of a young Vera Duckworth.
