Did anyone watch this? The first episode was completely up its own arse but I think I’ll stick with it!

Anybody have any ideas what the Mum is doing keep touching her eyelashes? Does she have that condition where you pull your hair out?

OP posts:

What possessed Camille to do this to the lovely Richard?! She will be the next victim now. The scary cheerleader and Amma will hunt her down because of John.

Will the chief turn on Adora? He can clearly see what is happening. He has the power to save Amma. What was the significance of several episodes showing him getting dressed for work in the morning?
How could Amma's father just sit and listen to music?!

Has anyone else loved the murder ballad at the end?

Clawdy · 21/08/2018 22:29

Sung by the wonderful Everly Brothers. It's a very old ballad with Irish roots, apparently.

RayneDance · 21/08/2018 23:19

What was the significance of him asking where their pal was.. Then muttering....sick eh.

We see the pig farm every opening episode. So everything centers on pig farm.. A Dora's mum used to pinch her and hurt her.

RayneDance · 21/08/2018 23:20

I think he knows his wife is crackers it's his escape. He was excusing her to camila

SharedLife · 22/08/2018 06:49

I think Adora killed Marian with medicine because of Munchausen by Proxy and is on the same track with Amma.

I think she could have killed A and N because they reminded her of Camille (or got her husband/the chief to do it). There was a lot of anger inflicted on them, she's so buttoned up, you just know there's a river of rage underneath!

It has to be one of the characters we know, it would be too frustrating for it to be some drifter or something. From the characters we know I think Adora, her husband and the chief are my top suspects.

And I hope Camille and Richard work it out!

RayneDance · 22/08/2018 09:08

Why was there alot of anger directed at them and why now? What's sparked the killing now?

Marion killed herself with bleach.

RayneDance · 22/08/2018 09:09

Richard said...

It's family its always family in last show

lazymum99 · 22/08/2018 12:07

Who was the other girl sharing her room in the psychiatric hospital? That wasn't her sister was it? Her younger sister died when camille was a young teenager. She had some sort of fit in her bed, they showed it.
Its all sooooo confusing.

ElenaGreco123 · 22/08/2018 12:09

lazymum The other girl in the hospital was called Alice. Not her sister.

lazymum99 · 22/08/2018 12:14

So whats all that about Marion killing herself with bleach. Where did that come from? Aaaaahhhh.....
I wonder if I could follow it better watching on a laptop with headphones.

TomHardysBackpack · 22/08/2018 12:52

Marion didn't kill herself with bleach - she was poisoned to death by Adora

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 22/08/2018 13:18

Other girl in the hospital was another patient (for depression/self-harm) she shared a room with her (Camille) and I think stirred up her feelings again for Marian. She was protective (sister-like) and deeply upset when she died. Was like history repeating itself.

Twitteratti · 22/08/2018 13:24

So glad I found this thread. I think this is fantastic TV.
I too find it hard to hear so I watch it with subtitles!

Twitteratti · 22/08/2018 13:25

I don't think it was Marion who drank poison. I thought Richard was referring to Alice

Toyboysrus · 22/08/2018 14:07

I wonder if tv producers realise that muffled sound and poor lighting causes so much confusion to viewers who struggle to follow the plot!! We pay a lot of money for Sky people shouldn't have to resort to sub titles.

SharedLife · 23/08/2018 07:16

Rayne I think the anger was triggered as the girls reached the age Camille was when she began cutting. Also, she may have seen them as a corrupting influence on Amma. It could have also been triggered by them rejecting her, John said Natalie bit Adora.

Marian didn't drink bleach, we see her have a seizure which I think was the result of the unnecessary meds. It was Camille's roommate at the hospital that drank bleach.

The timeline does seem to jump about a lot. One episode I was left thinking Camille found Amma dead in the cabin with no teeth, but she was fine next episode so I don't know what I was seeing then!

TomHardysBackpack · 23/08/2018 11:04

My money is on John's girlfriend. (Can't remember her name)

ElenaGreco123 · 23/08/2018 13:22

The scary cheerleader?

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 23/08/2018 13:25

it's all about the dollshouse ...that is all I am saying..

wish I had a TV, really enjoyed reading this .

lazymum99 · 23/08/2018 14:15

I don't think its just flashbacks. I think that Camille is also hallucinating from a mixture of her PTSD and drink problem. So that stuff in the woods wth Amma might just be whats in her head.

Roseandvioletcreams · 23/08/2018 16:23

I think it's the Jackie woman.

She leaves flowers. Early on detective says whose leaving flowers it's a sign perhaps of guilt. The babar says or perhaps someone doing it for superstitious reasons so it doesn't happen to their child. We know Jackie doesn't have a baby. Is Jackie the aunt?

I can never see much in the dolls house

TomHardysBackpack · 23/08/2018 16:48

Am I right I'm thinking there's only one episode left?

Toyboysrus · 23/08/2018 19:39

Yes only 1 left.
And our suspects are Amma, Adora, Ashley, Alan, Jackie? Aided and abetted by police chief or teacher? And the dolls house is significant? We can't all be right though! I can't wait to see it resolved now.

Roseandvioletcreams · 24/08/2018 13:58

I'm not buying any of them bar step dad because we don't know much about him except he had no power at home he lost a dd too. Its never acknowledged. Ammar is so creepy but why would she do it.

How.. She's thier size.

The Jackie woman seems odd to me.

PatchworkWomble · 27/08/2018 17:28

I haven't read the book. The last three episodes I found absolutely gripping. I'd already figured out who the killer was by the time it was revealed but those last few episodes were so compelling nonetheless. Unfortunately I can imagine that some people would switch off before they reached that point as it is hard work to start with.
