at magi's request here is the first grass thread ( we will probably need more than one!).

Can't believe it time for Queen's again. Hope the weather holds out- bit gloomy in the north west.Grin

( can't link to other thread as on my phone).

See you all later- the only thing I'm not looking forward to is the likelihood it will be Mr Castle in the commentary box.Grin

Yes Raahh. They're probably saying can we go now? Grin

Raahh · 02/07/2018 14:41

Far more weather appropriate than some of the others.

Ooh, Raonic. I need to go out in a minute. Pesky children. Grin

I think the Federer children will be left with nanny for the next match.

Raahh · 02/07/2018 14:47

Jane they won't be seen again, until/if Roger gets to the final, I reckon Grin.

Found Stan on the red button. Obvs another random Brit playing on BBC1.

Raahh · 02/07/2018 16:15

Pleased to see Milos through- slow start, which he admits, but he soon got going. He seems happy in his interview.

Stan and Grigor are on BBC2 now.

Have been enjoying some time off during the day (although will be working again from 5-9) and have been watching Wimbledon in my Ipad in the garden.
Venus Williams turned things round a bit. And Federer really didn’t seem too troubled. I still felt his older twins were about 3 so got a surprise when I saw them

Raahh · 02/07/2018 16:29

Poor Stan.
It's not going well.

Dont know what to watch! Monfils and Gasquet in the early stages too.

Despite what the BBC and all England club may think, I have no interest in watching Serena.

Tsitsipas is playing too.

Wonder how his serve is on grass?Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/07/2018 16:48

Much better this set.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/07/2018 16:50

Tsitsipas is playing well too.

I'm just going to confuse everyone now by rambling inanely about several different matches. Grin

Hmm so Coric is out eh?

Raahh · 02/07/2018 16:57

I'm sure Roger is pleased.Hmm

Monfils/Gasquet is as close as I expected.

Gael has his serious head on. For now Grin

Come on Stan!

Raahh · 02/07/2018 17:18

Meant to say, regarding Coric, it was a very tricky first round- Medvedev is a very good grass player.

He always looks like he should be playing Shaggy in a live action re-make of Scooby Doo though. Grin, I think it's the stubbly beard.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 02/07/2018 17:19

Yes!!

Raahh · 02/07/2018 17:19

Yes! Come ON! Stan!

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/07/2018 17:21

See- I knew this would be good. And Grigor can get a bit wayward when things are not going his way.

The Broadys are not exactly getting easy draws are they Grin

Raahh · 02/07/2018 17:22

Shame Serena won that first set- they were so scathing about her opponent beforehand and the fact clay is her favourite surface. Oh, how they laughed. Hmm.
I'm glad it was close.

Cheering on Stan here - although DS and I think it's a bit like supporting Danny Dyer playing Wimbledon. There's an unsettling resemblance.

Raahh · 02/07/2018 17:26
Shock

He looks nothing like Danny Dyer!Grin

I think he's smartened himself up a bit for Wimbledon. Had a haircut , and a shave. Grinironed his shirt .

His hair was a bit more bouffant the other week. Grin

Oh dear.

There goes the racquet.
