No, you didn't miss it Blondes - it was Last Night of the Proms.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2018 21:31

@optimist1 thanks. Did wonder x

Auldspinster · 15/09/2018 21:20

Yikes. Poor Dylan.

RJnomore1 · 15/09/2018 23:29

What's happened to Dylan???

MyOtherProfile · 16/09/2018 10:10

Is Dylan the Dr who was knocking on the door at the end?
I watch holby and not casualty usually but somehow we did tune in last night. I always assumed it was similar to holby and would feel familiar. It didn't, plus the acting seemed much more wooden. Is this typical or did I watch on a bad night? I was particularly surprised by the acting of the AA attending Dr and the dark haired guy who used to be the policeman in Heartbeat.

Auldspinster · 16/09/2018 11:20

Dylan discovered his AA lover has a husband.

RJnomore1 · 16/09/2018 11:57

I've just watched on iplayer.

😟

Optimist1 · 16/09/2018 12:28

OK, so Ciara has a husband. I guess we're supposed to understand he's been away recently, but surely she wouldn't have wanted her neighbours to see Dylan's comings and goings at her house? IIRC their body language wasn't just that of a couple of pals walking their dogs together. Poor Dylan. Poor Dervla.

Auldspinster · 16/09/2018 12:41

Could they not have given him a few weeks of sexy fun before the inevitable happened?

snozzlemaid · 16/09/2018 12:54

Dylan deserves so much better than her though.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 16/09/2018 15:42

Even if her DH had been away are we supposed to believe there was nothing of his visible in the house when they DTD Hmm

spiderlight · 16/09/2018 18:12

@MyOtherProfile the character of Dylan is a bit wooden and odd - it's never been made explicit but it's implied that he has Asperger's syndrome. Not sure who you mean by the Heartbeat one. Casualty does have quite a different feel though - Holby tries to be a bit slicker, I think.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 16/09/2018 18:50

David was in Heartbeat

HettySunshine · 16/09/2018 19:33

Myotherprofile, the nurse you mean, David has bipolar disorder and is on medication which sample down the top and norton of his moods. I can understand it makes him seem a bit wooden but he's actually a great character.

HettySunshine · 16/09/2018 19:33

Dampen, not sample!

HettySunshine · 16/09/2018 19:34

Bottom, not norton ffs.

It was my daughter's 5th birthday party today. I am most exhausted!

StripySocksAndDocs · 16/09/2018 21:10

I'm going to have to put this thread on watch. It disappeared on me after two week break!!

The suddenly appearing husband was odd. Though I was starting to wonder how a not very functioning alcoholic had such a nice house.

MyOtherProfile · 16/09/2018 22:00

Thanks @spiderlight and @HettySunshine makes more sense now.

AGnu · 17/09/2018 12:47

I was only half watching. I'd assumed Ciara's marriage had broken down but she'd decided to take him back. Perhaps he was controlling & abusive but she's decided that's all she deserves. He could technically be her husband without them actually being together when she was leading dog walking pun intended Dylan on. Maybe they're not actually together now but he's being possessive & trying to get rid of Dylan.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 17/09/2018 18:22

I wasn't keen on the colour Ethan chose for Alicia's room.

I did wonder, though, given that Bea has gone on that course and has moved out of Alicia's place, why Alicia simply didn't make Bea's room hers, and turn her room into the spare room. I know that she shouldn't have to let the memory of what Eddie did "win", as it were, but surely a fresh start in a completely new room (not just a newly painted one) might help?

spiderlight · 18/09/2018 08:26

Has Bea gone for good then, if Alicia's advertising for new housemates?

luckycat007 · 18/09/2018 11:10

Poor Dylan 😞

purpleme12 · 18/09/2018 13:38

I always got the impression Bea might be away for a while but was coming back? But I don't know? But I can't understand why they'd get rid of Bea she was a really character and not long started in the programme!

Optimist1 · 18/09/2018 14:05

Yes, I thought she was selected for some sort of special course overseas (she and Ed were both vying for the slot, IIRC) - definitely not a permanent move.

Handbaghag · 19/09/2018 22:04

Poor Dylan. One of my faves. Lived the bit where he commented after kissing whatsername that he hadn't 'done that/felt like that for a long time'.... What was the quote again? Grin
