I have no idea what happened with the bold there-sorry! Blush

magimedi · 07/06/2018 09:41

A couple of days ago I got all DCs' plastic dinosaurs out of the loft & washed them, ready for the visit of PFGC!!!!!

I am now off to buy Harry & The Bucketful of Dinosaurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must say, all this early starts for tennis really makes me get on with jobs!

Raahh · 07/06/2018 10:42

magi ooh, lovely! Grin DD1 went dressed as Harry for book day one year, it was the only year I actually made an effort. Grin I sewed a dinosaur shape onto a t-shirt she had and she wore her brother's shorts. Her hair was more Dora the Explorer, but she was happy Grin

I am very excited for the resumption of the Rafa match- I just hope he starts off quickly, and is in a happier place than he seemed to be yesterday. Maybe it was the weather Grin.

Rafa is going to be massively up for this I reckon, much more so than yesterday...

I've been enjoying the dinosaur chat. My DS has never really been into them for some reason, although he did love a book we had called something like "T-Rex in Town" which was a great story about if a dinosaur lived in a modern-day town Grin

JaneJeffer · 07/06/2018 11:19

Ah the dinosaurs, I don't know how many times I read Meg's Eggs.

Raahh · 07/06/2018 11:20

I also think Rafa have gone home and poured over videos of what went wrong.

All 3 of mine have loved dinosaurs- and it seems to a topic they always do at the same point at school (although I've just realised DD2 actually hasn't yet - usually they do it around yr1/2) . We have a LOT of books. Which I don't mind- it was my favourite thing when I was 5/6 too Grin. Though some dino's seems to have changed their names since I was a child... Grin

I feel sorry for Cilic and Delpo - it's a bit empty on Lenglen.

Raahh · 07/06/2018 11:33

Rafa appears to be feeling a bit better today.

PrivateParkin · 07/06/2018 11:36

I bet you could just walk up and get tickets for Lenglen as well, as there probably wasn't anything major scheduled on there for today! Those front rows are always empty though aren't they?

I think Rafa is going to be just fine...

Raahh · 07/06/2018 11:38

I think I heard them say that they those that just have ground passes can go in. But it depends how many people are around, I suppose. If people weren't paying attention[ grin] and still think the schedule starts at 1pm- then they will miss out on a pretty big opportunity Grin.

Raahh · 07/06/2018 11:39

Private the front rows annoy me- it can't be very good for the players (especially on Lenglen where it's so much closer) to look up and see empty seats. I'm guessing it's corporate seats, or something.

He seems to have choked serving for the set...

Happily watching the match until a huge thunderstorm has started, completely blocking out the TV signal at the last deuce.

amigababy · 07/06/2018 12:45

The resort is being washed away, I'm following on the internet now

Raahh · 07/06/2018 12:54

amiga that doesn't sound good!

Raahh · 07/06/2018 12:54

vamos Rafa, get this last point in!

OP posts:
Raahh · 07/06/2018 12:54

Oh, he did! Grin

amigababy · 07/06/2018 13:14

Yay! Vamos!!

It was a really big downpour but it's stopping now, we're 7 floors up so we can watch it all. Once came home to see the street dustbins floating away. But in an hour it'll be dry again.
It's been very odd weather for May/ June here.

PrivateParkin · 07/06/2018 13:17

Schwartzman played so well in that match. I can't believe how much he had to do and he still didn't win! Proper contest though.

The Delpo-Cilic match is a bit... odd.

magimedi · 07/06/2018 13:22

Schwartzman is coming to Eastbourne. Really hope I get to see him. Loved his game but glad Rafa won.

Went out before the tennis & in The Works the Harry & the Dinosaurs books were 3 for £5.

One of the ones I got was called:

"Harry & The Dinosaurs say Raahh".

I had trouble not bursting into fits of giggles in the shop Grin

PrivateParkin · 07/06/2018 13:39

Ha Raahh you're famous!

Magi that would be great to see Schwartzman!! I absolutely love his style, really fun to watch. The match over on Lenglen seems so slow and lacking energy in comparison - and I say that as a fan of both Delpo and Cilic.

Raahh · 07/06/2018 13:57

magi that is the book I took my user name fromGrin

missed the end of the Delpo match, I like both of them but am glad Juan won. will be a tough semi final.
